Hi Jaknivek. It should be able to, hopefully those mods have a BlockVarientGroup data file that you can copy the block names out of an insert them into a existing group or add a new group.

Fixed, however is missing duplicate of the 1x1 inset connector, that is what was causing the problem

I'm still trying to fix it, I don't know why it is not showing up. In the meantime, I've temporarily included them in the regular conveyor group, alternatively you can put them individually into toolbar from the small blocks section/search.

Same here, I was about to ask about that. The Small Conveyor group hasn't worked since I got this mod, and it doesn't show up anywhere on any menus, but strangely, even though the icon for the the small conveyor block didn't have the little + symbol that shows it has access to the whole group of like blocks, it actually let me scroll through the small conveyors for a few minutes... That was odd, as I had grown accustomed to putting each individual SM-CV block onto their own hot bar.

But you know what they say about gift-horses. :)

aight cool, good to know, thanks for making and maintaining this! I completely ran out of hotbar space in my main creative world and really needed this kind of consolidation

Hi Faceboy. When an update comes along, unless the new block has its own new group, the blocks will not be in amongst their fellow block-mates, but initially you should still be able to search for them individually or use the associated DLC category tab. I intend to update the mod with new blocks within 24hrs of the DLC releasing. Updates don't come around everyday, so I think it is manageable.

Ok so mods will just do whatever with their block groups, but what about when the game gets updated? When new blocks are added, I assume they might not get grouped properly?

Hi WWD. Hand sorting, the how to edit video gives you an idea of how it works. I only use a handful of modded blocks myself, they all have their individual groups so are not affected by this mod, but I can imagine if other creators inserted their blocks into existing groups there could be an incompatibility. If it becomes a real probably, you could make a copy of the mod and insert your favourite blocks where it suits you.

Are you hand sorting these into their categories? Is a automated dynamic process? I've noted some modded blocks don't appear in the lists and I have to look for them manually.

Going to try the mod first but if it does this as well as it seems I will be adding the plugin version

Some of your choices were surprising (good not bad) None looked problematic

Was nice to see ones like O2/H2 with tanks as I had said this should have been there from the start. makes me think we're starting from a similar mindset so I have high hopes. I will look at the tutorial with interest.

The description says like exactly what I am looking for. Since keen split up and messed with the scroll-groups in the signal update I ran out ouf space in the toolbars (especially creative mode). Really appreciated! Thanks for that!

I don't know who at Keen thought it was a good idea to fracture all the block groupings, they must be one of those pesky space pirates... In any case, you have restored order to my toolbars. THANK YOU!

Had this mod for a couple of minutes, can't live without it. For the love of Klang can you make this a plugin somehow so I don't have to blatantly suffer when I'm hopping onto a server full of abject nonsense?

Additional Suggestions:

-Make Large Conveyors and Small Conveyors the same gorup with a size toggle like every other group in existence.

-Merge Desk and Console Module groups, they basically do the same thing.

-Merge Alphabet, Numeral and Special Character blocks.

-Duplicate orphaned tires into their respective suspension groups.

-Merge Test Dummy into the same group as Warhead and Explosive Barrel for "Things to be shot at."

-Merge Batteries into the front of the power group. Not sure why you didn't.

-Merge Safe Zone and Stores.

-Duplicate Dispenser into Kitchen group.

Hi walkin, they are in the catwalk group. Can't recall, but I think there aren't in both groups because of a bug maybe? Bug seems to be when there is a single small grid in a predominately large grid group, which in this case would be the single small grid ladder.

Hi wellingon6012. It could be I was impatient. Contact rearranged a bunch of groups, and one was that the merge blocks were given their own group. Your mod changes that and they're split into large and small merge blocks in the default group. Didn't check for a secondary group.

Tried this and realized the small merge block is separated from the rest of the merge blocks. Doesn't seem rational to me.

Hi Patrick, it is in the rocket group because you used all those blocks together to make custom turrets, which is its primary usage. However, it was duplicated into both groups based on early feedback shortly after the mod released, you should find it next to the event controller.

Why is the custom turret controller in the rocket launcher group? Wouldn't that be better suited to the Programmable Block group, since it can be used for more than rocket launcher turrets?

Now I'm changing my Standard Toolbar to accommodate these block groups. Then storing it in Toolbar Manager (plugin), so it can be reused (loaded) in any world. Time to rebuild some muscle memory for quick building.

For some time we have a discussion on Plugin Loader's Discord about making a plugin to allow for the in-game customization of block groups. This mod and the documentation on how to change the groups ourselves is the next best thing we can have. Thanks!

The fact that a mod like this needs to even be made is stupid. With further updates of the game and new blocks being added, groups should be becoming less numerous and more dense, not the other way around. Keen needs a smack up side the head.

Thanks for making this Wellington. It will likely be one of my core mods until Keen undoes this nightmare.

@TheProphecticWarrior - the flight control blocks and cameras are in the remote group, am I missing something in your comment? or are they not showing for you, possibly a mod incompatibility?

It's 9am and thanks everyone for another bunch of awesome feedback overnight. I've read them all and no promises, but will see what I can do. Just on the prototech blocks, mentioned here and in other forums, I see the value in duplicating them in relevant groups, but also keeping them separated. Rightly or wrongly, I've decided to stick with the latter. that said, a lot more than one comments, so maybe watch this space.

Thanks so much I've been looking for something like this since Contact, even tried to make it myself but bounced back after 2 hours due to lack of skills. Very useful.
Some suggestions for You to consider:
-move Jumpdrive to Gyroscope group since its also propulsion and quite empty group
-move or duplicate Warhead group to Weapons (better fit) or Turrets (less items) if its possible and not considered 'physical items'
-duplicate Prototech blocks to respective groups
-maybe move or duplicate Battery group into Solar power group
-maybe duplicate Sound group into Kitchen since its also entertainemt kinda
-maybe duplicate Railings group into Ladder since its quite small too
To be clear, by duplicate I mean keep the group that already exists AND add those items into another group.
Anyway even without this suggestions its top notch QoL mod!

one small error,
Vertical window and Barred window, are in same group and you can not change between them, so must search wasteland dlc and added barred one to toolbar, but can´t be at same toolbar with Verticals.
so, please,
split them apart.
