sometimes the helis just stay there until they get destroyed, still very good mod

Weird. I tried this on archipelago only the eagle helicopters work taking off after landing, but ravens are just chilling on the landing zone while getting blasted

The issue doesn't seem to lie with the game landing logic. I have attempted to fiddle with the script but so far I have not achieved any success.

Uh please help, I disabled the universal helicopter landing and removed it from my game but after I did the helicopters still did the landing and no takeoff

I don't think that's an issue I can fix. The squad.TakeOff() method doesn't seem to be working properly. You guys might have to wait for a game beta/update to fix it.

Sadly, that mod prevents pilots from using any armaments if transport chopper has such. Example - Kestrel's attack-transport chopper, AI will never use rockets and machnie guns available to pilot

Yeah, I don't really have control of how it works (how the game determines whether a helicopter has landed or not). The script itself doesn't actually check if it has landed, it just waits for the game to tell it when the squad's helicopter has completed the landing.

I'll see if I can fix this mutator tonight.

Will check with Kaname Rina's Helis. They seem to have landing gear suspension.

Don't use with:

Osprey Gunner's Mi-8 - It struggles to land on the first drop-off and when it goes to pickup, it straight up crashes.

Mr_2005's V-22 Osprey - The landing gear doesn't open fast enough so it takes loads of damage upon landing.

Speaking of helis not taking off again. I would bet they fail to reach the position they want when landing and get stuck in that downward momentum. Passenger bots disembark properly because they don't give a fuck and just exit when theres a land to exit onto, but the script itself doesn't properly compensate for that scenario when heli can't properly finish landing.

My guess is based on the fact that helicopters work perfectly fine whenever they actually land of ground mesh, but break every time theres a prop of some kind in the way. (Rocks, shapes, nets, et cetera)

I doubt its in control of mod creator, unless these specific functions were exposed.

i would like a mutator to fix when multiples transport helis drop and pick up their troops at the same exact spot, causing the helis to colide with each others and looks pretty stupid

as far is i can tell the helicopter would land on top of the enemy flag and get blown up, sometimes the heli would drop off its troops and and sit there, and blow up. for some reason the heli would sometimes do a barrel roll 10 meters off the ground and blow up too. the heli should land further from hostile flags and troops that it drops off should get back in the heli instead of wandering off (and blowing up)

Im not sure if this is possible or is already somewhat implemented. From the time using this mod i have noticed that the helicopters sometimes land in or close to the flag this leads normally to them getting destroyed. If this is possible could you add a setting to the mod that makes a no land zone around the flags (In the setting you could set a distance of how big the no land zone is around the flag)
