Given CA implemented similar functionality for the contracts that provides access to faction specific ancillaries/banners the mod will not need to be updated to incorporate this functionality.
For how often they are added in theory it’s meant to check every turn what bounties you have and then if you have less than 3 “ogre bounties” missions it issues a new one. I noticed this happen in vanilla too - it is likely to due to the “ogre bounty” mission being cached, and then the next turn it properly recognises that you have less than 3.
In therms of how missions are selected, in theory it is meant to target factions you are at war with. If you aren’t at war with anyone then it targets your lowest relations factions even if you aren’t at war. However since it can only target factions that are nearby if you only have allies nearby it can end up forcing you to target your allies.
Some turns I'll end up only having one Bounty available - like, it doesn't even show the Aborted message, I just lose the slots entirely for a turn or two.
More to the point of this mod, I recently finished a Bounty for the Western Provinces that was meant to grant the Jade Blade of the Great Fleet - but, lo, the event procced, I got the cash and the camp growth, but I didn't get the Blade. Don't know why - I even went forward a couple of turns to check, and it never materialized.
This last one is certainly vanilla jank, but I got several missions targeting my allies, which I had to immediately reroll - it would be better to exclude such targets, but hey, at least we CAN reroll them now!
Thanks again!
The bounties now issue a faction exclusive ancillary in addition to the meat or growth reward, however they no longer replace the generic rare ancillary when that is the bonus reward.
