@Axyl It's interesting that you're getting errors about Duplicate XML nod name for plants. I'm getting "Could not load Texture2D at 'Things/Plant/TreeBirch_LeaflessImmature' in any active mod or in base resources" for several LeaflessImmature trees.

Did the vanilla 1.6 update include this new class of trees LeaflessImmature that did not exist previously?

Hey if somebody know hwos to help it would be much appreciated. Essentially Dryads & Gauranlen Trees Rework + Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Dryads: Compatibility - Greater Dryads and this mod cause two red errors upon startup. heremy log if anyone can help

@Axyl Are those errors still happening after you resubscribe to XML Extensions?
Axyl 9 Jul @ 10:22pm
I understand that this mod has been effectively dropped, but if anyone feels like investigating, I'm receiving XML errors that might need to be patched. I'd do it myself but I have no idea what to make of this.

Saw this in an Ambigusamphibian video (Rimworld Medieval) and thought this is one of the most beautiful mods iv'e ever seen for Rimworld.
VitaKaninen 1 Jul @ 2:20am
Thanks for the update!

TabView bug in XML Extensions has been fixed
Zaljerem  [author] 30 Jun @ 5:32pm
It's now updated, it still requires XML Extensions, but the tab view is still broken so the fix is still needed

I've included the source code for both 1.5 and 1.6. I don't really have much further interest in this mod; consider this a courtesy update, and end-of-life as far as I'm concerned.
VitaKaninen 29 Jun @ 11:43am
That makes me sad. This has to be one of my most favorite mods!
Zaljerem  [author] 29 Jun @ 11:38am
It's the lowest possible priority, but I will likely update it.
tanyfilina 29 Jun @ 10:55am
XML Extensions was updated, are you going to update this mod, or we should wait for the new version (I mean, for the transparency there)? I ask because I have a mod with a tree and a patch for this mod.
The Former 16 May @ 11:53am
You might wanna do the "Original description:" thing, because I was dumb and didn't know you had to activate them ingame until I followed the link to the original, haha. For those who scratch their head: After installing the mod, get ingame and click the + next to mod settings. There you'll find options for which textures to prioritize. Set what you want, restart game, and you're good.
Zaljerem  [author] 2 May @ 4:56am
The idea for 1.6 is to completely rewrite this, improving that code and removing the XML Extensions requirement. Big project though.
qux 2 May @ 4:11am
Hello, do you think it would be possible to release a version without transparency one day to have better performance? (even by disabling transparency the code apparently affects performance)
BreBearz 13 Apr @ 7:19am
No worries, I did find an add on but I’m having issues getting it to work. I reached out to them letting them know. Hoping they will get back to me soon.
Zaljerem  [author] 12 Apr @ 12:13pm
I believe someone made an addon for it, apologies, I am not at my PC.
BreBearz 12 Apr @ 11:40am
How can I get this to work with gulden biome?
Zaljerem  [author] 8 Apr @ 6:47am
Thanks for that info on Performance Fish; I don't have the issue myself but I will note it above.

Re: settings .... as you've experienced, there seems to be some inconsistencies, I've experienced them at times as well ... I wish I could advise you, I generally do what you've done.

Majestic Foilage uses XML Extensions, which I'm less and less happy with - it's unmaintained, there are already known issues, etc. My tentative plan is to rewrite (!) this entire mod without XML Extensions (improving the performance as well, there is some concern around the current transparency code) for 1.6. I appreciate your patience.
estrogenesys 8 Apr @ 6:43am
Also: when i load my save, my trees are "normal". Every time i play I have to go into XML Extensions, and all I need to do is open the Majestic Foliage settings. then i reload my save and the trees are Majestic again. I have tried this with zero other mods but this one and it's dependencies and it still happens. Is there a setting i need to tweak somewhere?
estrogenesys 8 Apr @ 6:36am
@Flamangos After a lot of experimenting, I managed to fix the issue of my pawns being drawn over the top of trees. If you have Performance Fish installed: Go into Rimworld, Options > Mod Options > Performance Fish. Scroll a little past halfway down the options until you find one called "PrintPlane". Uncheck it, close the window, close Rimworld, and it should be fixed the next time you load your game.
estrogenesys 8 Apr @ 5:15am
@Flamangos I'm having that issue as well. Seemed to stop when I removed Performance Fish from my mod list. I prefer to use Performance Fish so I'm trying to see what settings in it may be responsible. i could also be barking up the wrong tree
Zaljerem  [author] 29 Mar @ 9:02am
Thanks again for your report, I've just pushed an update.

Incompatible with VGP Vegetable Garden. You need to modify the Patches/VGP.xml file and change Plant_TreeBamboo to VG_Plant_TreeBamboo.Or turn off Override VGP Textures in settings
Luneyl 16 Mar @ 2:12am
Can we have a keybinding for "Enable or disable tree transparency" toggle?
Fawx 20 Jan @ 2:29pm
Outstanding. Thank you!
Zaljerem  [author] 20 Jan @ 9:51am
As above:
"Fix for missing size options tab: (a bug with XML Extensions)
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3346589753
Place as close to the bottom of your mod list as possible.
This moves them from the broken tab to inline - unfortunately before the main set of options, but hey, better than nothing."
Fawx 20 Jan @ 9:26am
The tab to directly control different tree sizes with sliders isn't appearing.
_♣Caligula♣_ 17 Jan @ 11:34am
Not sure where to ask, though I´d ask here.
Are you interested in continuing ,,Windows" mod by Owlchemist?
Would be great.
Also, thanks alot for continuing this mod!
Works great apart from trees from unsupported mods obviously(like Biomes! Prehistoic f.e)
Flamangos 16 Jan @ 9:35pm
Some of my pawns are appearing above the trees. No special xenotype. I use facial animations and yayo animations, anyone else run into this problem and found a solution?
e.b 13 Jan @ 6:40pm
Ohhh wait just realized transparency needs to be toggled in the bottom right; it works now!
e.b 9 Jan @ 7:06pm
Yeah, transparency is not working for me too; otherwise looks... majestic!
Double Scotch 8 Jan @ 5:53pm
An extension with Snowy Tree feature adapted to the retextures pack would be awesome, its really frustrating to have a whole map covered in snow but your tree looks like its summer...
Zaljerem  [author] 4 Jan @ 8:53am
"From the original mod page, any mod that changes texture paths is likely to be problematic, and my testing bears this out. I am looking at how to possibly mitigate this, but it's not simple."
Ġedryht of Wōden 4 Jan @ 8:52am
Why does this conflict with Dryads & Gauranlen Trees Reworked? Someone should make it compatible.
YEV 28 Dec, 2024 @ 4:49pm
Transparency not work ? Happy new year
Dizzy Ioeuy 25 Dec, 2024 @ 11:42am
regrowth is a bitch, I get it, that dude has changed directories at least three times in their history and each time I have to repatch for it in my own personal mods. Pisses me off!
Dizzy Ioeuy 24 Dec, 2024 @ 10:44pm
Seeing this error:

Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at Things/Plant/_Polluted/TreeDrago_Polluted in any active mod or in base resources.

and other polluted trees.... is this what you are talking about in changed directories?
Depraved Arachnophile 23 Dec, 2024 @ 8:20pm
The prodigal son continues his masterworks. Thank you for your efforts to continue and modernize this wonderful visual overhaul.
Zaljerem  [author] 19 Dec, 2024 @ 11:37am
Thanks again, just pushed a fix for Djeeskja's.
Zaljerem  [author] 19 Dec, 2024 @ 11:18am
Thanks, I'll check that one out closer as well (I tested more with Comigo's).
Tonas 19 Dec, 2024 @ 10:49am
Apologies; I meant to post that comment on the Djeeskha's retexture mod, as that's where my file name problem came from lol
Zaljerem  [author] 19 Dec, 2024 @ 10:10am
Thanks for the report ... I've just pushed an update adding a lot of missing textures. Please let me know if any more pop up.

(My apologies - I tested this more against several existing re-textures when I should have been more focused on just vanilla.)
Tonas 19 Dec, 2024 @ 8:49am
Addendum: Transparent_Leafless_TreeMaple should be renamed to Transparent_TreeMaple_Leafless
Tonas 19 Dec, 2024 @ 8:41am
FYI, the maple tree doesn't have a transparent variant for the leafless version, which causes massive logspam
Wolfette 13 Dec, 2024 @ 9:00pm
Hey was wondering if you'd like to help with an idea for an addon mod for mod, namely one that makes trees a lot less common, makes it so they take a lot longer to cut down but yield much more wood, aka acting like the way they look.
tanyfilina 21 Nov, 2024 @ 9:54am
Yes, first two solutions helped, thankk you!
Zaljerem  [author] 21 Nov, 2024 @ 9:45am
Are you running this fix? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3346589753 ... I don't know if it's strictly necessary but it opens up the missing menu options and I highly recommend it.

Also, please try removing unused settings in XML Extensions.

An unsub/resub to this Framework is a good idea, as there were some fixes applied right after I first published, and Steam can be wonky about updating mods.
tanyfilina 21 Nov, 2024 @ 9:38am
Hello! For some reason retexture and resize don't work for me (yes, I checked them in mod options), while transparency works.
