One of the comments here said that it does not work with Giant Rulers. But I can confirm that it does. My level 20 Storm Giant Mage with Cult of Personality and +2 starting skillpoints merely has an overflow of 2 skillpoints by the end.
So you can barely get everything with this. Some classes need less, of course. But Giant rulers are extremely skillpoint hungry.
Sadly only one mod can alter one file at a time in this game, they overwrite each other. To troubleshoot you can try and slide this mod _down_ in your mods load order (playset) the further down mods are, the higher their priority is when it comes to overwrite others.
While this will fix your issue with this mod it will create an issue with the other mod ofc.
This mod makes no distinction between AI and human players, so the only advantage is in humans using the additional points more efficient, cause AI in games is not really an AI but a bunch of scripts.
They don't get additional skillpoints. Champion and Wizard King rulers do.
Just checked the mod in a quick game and it is working like intended.
There might be a conflicting mod in your list.
One of the more common things that is not level related but in the same file are item related things and maybe the conflict is there to find, that is why one of my mods that changes infusion points in the forge is sensitive in it's mod load order:
8 Forgepoints and 10% Respec Cost Patch
with respawning infestations my ruler is usually max level super early
With the skill tree now in place and far less chaff-like skills as well as mutually exclusive choices, I'm generally of the thought that 2 a level would be too much now, but a 1.5/level type thing would be nice for use in smaller maps especially.
To anyone who enables it mid-game: it appears to be only working for newly acquired levels, it won't retroactively add points for levels your heroes already have, unfortunately.
Would love to see the levelcap upped, and the reset if possible.
