Hey, will you ever make Borderlands 3 weapons? That's the game I'm the most familiar with, and I love most of the weapons from that game.

I tested it earlier with only this and the required items installed and could not find a weapon/sight combination that did not work for repeaters or revolvers.

the crosshair scope thing when you aim down the sights, its replaced with a black screen with a missing texture screen

Custom weapons that do not exist in Borderlands 1 vanilla have been created in a new addon you can check out.
Tracers have been updated to ones that do not reflect up into the sky sometimes.

I forgot to actually put the changes in the folder I upload from. It should work now.
I'll get to other weapons when/if I get to them. Unlike BL1, BL2 has every weapon type as a separate animation and texture set.

Also, could I suggest making a mod for the Infinity from BL2? It's a fun weapon and it would be practical.

Not sure what you mean, just get the "half-life sweps" mods and you'll see what I mean. The "hornet gun" spawns the hornet weapon instead the hornet entity

I don't have Half-Life: Source, so I don't know how I would test or fix that. Do you know which weapon specifically? Are you referring to the bullet tracer specifically?

I found a bug in the mod:
If you half Half-Life: Source mounted and spawn an Alien Grunt or use the hivehand, they spawn the weapon from this mod instead of the bullet

Pistol/revolver viewmodel positions have been adjusted.
Headcrabs are immune to acid damage. Don't use corrosive against them.
SMG Iron positions have been adjusted.
I suck at lua, so someone else would have to add/help add custom DOT effects.
Yes, I see SEF exists, no I don't know how to make it work.

also, the Iron sights of SMGS are downright misleading because they center on a point outside of where the bullets actually land

I wonder if you could lower the viewmodel origins for the repeater pistol a little bit to make it visually similar to the HL2 Pistol? It takes up a bit too much screen real estate as it is, plus the Machine Pistol's viewmodel

The Revolver viewmodel is a bit small. I would personally make it a bit bigger.

The corrosive effect can't kill headcrabs for some reason.

I wonder if you'll ever convert someday to using fully custom DOT effects? Borderlands's elemental damage system means that not every shot will cause an elemental effect, and elemental effects applied to an entity will increase in severity if more shots of that element proc (generate an element on hit) and stack on top of each other. I don't think HL2's base damage types can cover that because HL2 wasn't developed to support guns as wild as Borderlands games can get.

Im wondering if theirs a way to fix the random bullets that goes straight up in the air while firing. I've looked in the tfa menu and tried turning off a lot of performance or visual effects but, I'm assuming its just these that do it. Other than that, its awesome to see borderlands weapons finally on the workshop.

whatever works for you choom, people love variety
and do you plan on building the other weapons from borderlands? if so, lets start with sniper rifles, or shotguns, so you can trial and error smgs and ARs later

While I'd love to let you choose the manufacturer for the generic weapons, I cannot get the elements and materials to work since choosing an element chooses a specific texture instead of just changing the lighting color to red.
With my current knowledge, all I could do is have one weapon for every single manufacturer material (3 per manufacturer) and make four different attachments for every single one.

No, the ones in the media are custom ones that won't get seen during your usage. They're developer arms from a server. The animations were designed around those since the models were originally for those arms only, that's why I had to fix the animations after I tried it with normal c_arm support.
