@abyssquick I did many times for a whole month. However I never had anyone other than me really test this and I rushed the project out of stress and burn out. So a lot of issues I didn't take into account or didn't know how to combat.

I took on a open world halo map and it was way above my skill level. I worked on it due to burn out from working on Halo XT and wanted to do something different. I hope one day I can come back to the concept and polish it up more with a bit of help. But still have fun with the mod I created and many others have. I just wish I polished it more so it was less prone to issues.

@morbster I will fix that when I can. I am rather busy right now. Fallen city will improve on alot of this.


I am aware she is ridiculous looking. I wanted sex appeal. But I was worried youtubers might get strikes from the half boobs showing on her chest. But I realized that its not actually a strike worthy thing.

I may just make her an AI instead. Idk.

Very cool concept + dinosaurs = a promising start to this mod.

Perhaps change the marker when landing at the extraction point before the last battle. It took me ages to find the computer terminal that you're supposed to select, because there's no actual indication to the player that you're supposed to select it. I had to resort to watching someone on Youtube play it to figure it out, and they also were looking everywhere but the one place. Just place the arrow over the computer instead of just in the middle of the platform.

Also, as others have said, the woman at the beginning wearing nothing but an ODST chestplate is laughably ridiculous looking. Consider changing her to something that makes sense (AI, naval officer, fully armoured ODST etc.).

Hey man, I'm sorry, but this just isn't a good mod. I deleted my previous review to give you something more constructive, so you can actually see what I found wrong with it :)

First, the scripting feels kinda janky. If you die before the first checkpoint then you basically get soft locked and have to completely exit the mission and start over. Dinosaurs would often just clip through whatever they were fighting.

Second, the mission design just feels like a collection of good ideas that were just tossed together. Using Halo CE enemy models with Halo 3 allied models also just is jarring. Pick one or the other.

Third, the level itself is kinda bland. It's just a lake over an open field. The aircraft carriers were awesome but were just way too easy to take down. Maybe add in some trees and a cool mountain background to liven it up?

Lastly... please reconsider using the lady in the ship 😂 If she was an AI, I could kinda see it, but not a human wearing barely anything as armor.

@Halsi, SO THAT EXPLAINS WHY THE MARINES ARE DISSAPPEARING!. Thank you I will look into that as well.

I apologise. I should of put a marker on the button. This whole mod has been a learning lesson in making things clear to the player. I thought I didn't need markers cause I didn't want to hand hold but now I feel like I should of put more direction.

Oh I didn't even see an evac button. that may've been my bad. However, all marines once they get to roughly that point want to run to the top left corner of the map

@Halsi hmmm. did you press the button on the evac? I gotta take a look at the command scripts it seems cause the marines are trying to pathfind to an area but for some reason they only do it 50% of the time.

Your marines on the troop hog refuse to fire after taking out the second AA gun. As soon as you go down to the beach where covies are fighting spinosaurs, they refuse to fire.

The trees have collision on their branches and it's too easy to get a hog stuck under them.

@木头木脑 Yeah I am trying to figure out a way to manage the resources better in the script.

Sorry about this. It didn't occur to me it would be an issue. But I seem to have forgotten a few squads to be erased.

Future maps shouldn't have this issue since I am gonna try and set up a proper despawning system without things popping in and out because the map is so open and wide you can see it.

@Unholy Manaic I just like Jordan spartains CE elites. Its more of a preference thing than an actual issue I would say. Now the softlocking thing. The issue is that I forgot to erase some squads leading to overcrowding and as a result the engine will screw up. So I am working on a fix for that.

Thank you for your reply. I support exploring without guidance, but the issue with the aircraft carrier makes me unsure of what to do next. Should I board the ship like a scarab and destroy the core, or should I eliminate all enemies on board?
Exploring the map is indeed a good idea. This lake offers a brand new experience, and if the problem of artificial intelligence oversampling can be solved, I would be happy to play according to your ideas.

the halo 2 elites, but has halo reach forge assets and halo 3 engine? use the halo 3 elites? or at-least their shaders for your h2 elites. and some of the game-play you get soft locked in depending if you kill everything too fast or not at all

theirs a tool for recording your videos in theater you drag it into the theater as your watching and gives you a dolly-cam to set up anchor points and such to record from

feels very half finished and none of the content is same generation, i'd personally say to redo all your shaders to match, and needs heavy scripting re-haul. but did enjoy the mod, also editing for your videos theirs a much better tool then you using the forge theater and making janky moves, i can link you it if you plan to make a better trailer.

@木头木脑 Oh I didn't want any signs to the mission location. I wanted players to explore the map and figure out on their own. But I can see how that can be an issue in hindsight. I will look into adding something for that.

It seems like your running into issues with AI overspawning. Which leads to the engine not being able to handle. I thought I put the fail safes if this happened. but it seems I forgot a few.I will look into fixing this issue. I apologise that this is happening.

I have encountered an extremely malicious bug. When you trigger two aircraft carriers and engage in combat with any enemy, you will not be able to fire. When you try close combat, the game will freeze.This has prevented me from achieving the mission objectives, I don't know if it's because the campaign was not completed or for other reasons

This mod has a great idea, but there are still some issues: after parachuting to the ground, there are no road signs to guide the mission location, the enemy generated by the right anti-aircraft gun after destruction will become a fool, and the Pelican troop transport ship generated by the left anti-aircraft gun after destruction is basically unable to kill nearby enemies, completely sending troops down to die.
The enemy AI inside the aircraft carrier on the sea surface will not react to the player. After killing the hunter outside, the game will crash

@A kobold Damn. I am still trying figure out that bug. But Once I find a fix I will make it work.

It actually has 10 uses. I did that so players could use it through the entire mission, you can also press q to detach it and get a free shielded GPMG which also protects you from incoming fire.

A good mod, uh the deployable MG implacement that you can get in the armory is infinite and spawns in the air.

Same with the other one you find later but it isn't infinite.

You gotta press the button at the extraction point that says "open the gate" That starts the extraction. You get tons of time to prepare and fight the waves of enemies off.

This is really cool, and honestly, despite some bugs, i prefer this to infinite by a long shot lol

the Daytime version i couldnt finish, i go to the 'extraction point' and i couldnt get anything to actually happen
