Haven't played in a while but I loaded in quickly and it seems to still work for me. Had 47,317 orens before month end, paid 3098 in taxes and ended up with 48,951. Could you check the config to see if there's nothing weird going on there maybe?

In my environment, it seems that if there are no orens in the top left corner of the bank's inventory, no interest is charged.

Sure, that's why you can configure the mod to suit your preferences. I did calculate the growth after a year before uploading this and decided that ~3x is fine for me since this is a game and not real life. I also now see that people have vastly different ideas of how balance should work (I saw someone say this should be 0.1% and others saying ~5%)

cmon... 4.5%-5% each year is the peak interest rate I can get during recent past us inflation era.
10% each month is something that I don't need to work anymore, just deposit all my money to the bank
