- Some of the areas had like one or two enemies hiding in a building that you neede to kill in order to complete an objective. In the bigger towns especially that's quite annoying and can take up a lot of time. Would advise removing those more hidden enemies or changing the trigger for objective competion.
- The artillery script didn't work on the first mission, and caused my game to crash on the second.
-Voice acting balancing is a bit off, some people are quite while some are loud.
A thumbs up from me :)
Maybe I should add the BIS_fnc_HoldActionRemove to the objects/units to combat this
The Purgatory campaign has been an on and off project for 1.5 years, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t thinking of making another one, I’ve learned so much during the development of Purgatory that it would certainly speed things up this time around.
I only encountered a few bugs. Some of the bodies you have to identify take a really long time and have multiple "identify body" prompts on their corpse. For me it was the commander near the castle camp in "Hunters" and the MVD captain target in "Brothers".
The intel on the tables are sometimes also difficult to find the spot to interact with them. Maybe you could make the interaction box bigger for them, some player may think the mission is bugged since they maybe can't find that sweet spot.
But to sum it up, great job!
I’m really glad you’re enjoying the campaign so far. Hope it holds up to the end! Good hunting!
Parameter settings on the BIS_fnc_holdActionAdd
Duration on the prompt is set to 4 sec on all commanders
removeCompleted - Boolean is set to true
It is strange that the problem appears on 2/5 commanders for you because I've doubled check each script and the parameters are correct. honger also mentioned this on another mission. After looking into it, same thing there. I'm starting to wonder if it is an arma 3 problem or addon interference? From the sound of it; when the circle prompt rotates very slowly, it for some reason, doesn't load the correct; removeCompleted and duration parameters on the BIS_fnc_holdActionAdd. Very strange..
In the "Hunters" mission, when you kill and approach the bodies of the second and third camp commanders, the circle will rotate very slowly when you press the space bar for the first time after the circle prompt appears. After the circle prompt is completed, it will continue to appear (that is, this prompt does not appear once but repeatedly). Although it does not affect the progress of the campaign, I still feel that such small flaws should be eliminated to make the campaign more perfect.
Solution: Sweep the area further or restart from the previous checkpoint which is super close.
