Subbed, love the idea.
It will not unless you remove those manually yourself!
Platonic Relationships has been updated. :-)
and I love you for loving them! :D
Seems like that mod might override the default settings. That's on their end, not something I can account for.
Ooh, that is actually very cute! It would work better within Platonic Relationships, I think, but consider it added the next time I push an update!
If you don't mind the suggestion; What would you think about a kinda generic "adopted family" or "chosen family" with no boost or a boost similar to cousin or something small like that? I know you have the platonic relationships so maybe it'd work better there, just a small thing I though I'd suggest for different family styles.
I would like to, but I'm having trouble uploading mods to the Steam Workshop right now.
I will look into updating and fixing the error tomorrow!
I don't have 1.6 myself yet, so I can't test it myself - but as far as I know, this should not conflict with anything and should just work in 1.6.
Happy to see you've found it, but for others with the same question: you have to change the gender icon on top, of the window.
For this kind of mod, no.
Not at this time, that's more programming than I'm willing to invest.
Enjoy, thanks for adopting the orphans!
You can have as many adoptive relationships as you want, there are no limits in place!
And yes, there is a relationship boost based on the relationship so in that regard there are "gameplay effects", but nothing more complicated than that.
Also, I was curious: you say it is just a cosmetic mod, and I understand there are no gameplay differences like inheritances. But the relation causes increased platonic affection between the pawns, correct? That is all I am hoping for, just a "you're my special little found family on the Rim" type of adoptive family feeling. Thank you so much for this mod!
At this point in time, it's not implemented. It's just a visual roleplaying mod.
I haven't done any coding on this mod, but I'll keep this in mind for when I do.
That's okay, I should probably include some sort of tutorial on how to use Character Editor (but then again, that might be the CE devs' responsibility instead of mine).
My fault. Great mod, thanks
That is really strange, it should be there.
You are selecting it from the father's pov, right?
From her pov, you can't add a daughter because she's a child.
Do you have a male pawn selected?
Good to hear you got it to work, at least.
That's really strange, keep me posted?
The option is there, it just doesn't work.
I should be able to add it in development mode hopefully.
Happy to hear you love this option as much as I do!
speaking of mods, this is a great one! theres a mod that allows other factions to request to adopt an orphan from your colony but i really wanted one that would allow my colonists to officially adopt one of the many refugee children they took in. thanks for this, it really scratched an itch i've had since before biotech back when you had to use children and learning :^)
Thanks for that input, I'll make sure to check it out next time I play.
I didn't know / realise, but I thought it only did vanilla things which, in hindsight, was a dumb assumption on my end.
no need character editor or prepare carefully unless you've disabled dev mode!
Very welcome, thank you for adopting the orphans!
Absolutely get it! Fingers crossed that your save is safe and your kid can get adopted!
Good story!
This mod on its own shouldn't break anything, but you will need Character Editor to actually use it!
I agree, which is why I made it so that it wouldn't happen.
