AT rifles and AT weaponry in general are def planned once I make tanks to go along with them. Wouldn't want to release a tank that doesn't have much of a counter or an AT rifle that doesn't have much of a purpose, so they're basically pending one another.
Basically everything but latewar 'bazookas' are on the table, if you were wondering about what's actually planned.

If it somehow gets a bayonet, it's just a cosmetic difference to me, and it basically ups the probability of bots using the gun, bayonet or not.

These comments below are probably gonna dissolve into an argument like hoider's HMG remake.

As for my preference, I don't care. Bayonets are stylish but I rarely use them, except for King_CreepaLot's mods where they have a good melee reach and better animations.

You make a good case but you were also annoying while doing so.
And as for my response, I'd consider instant switch and kill to be the bare minimum for a bayonet to even exist, so citing the bare non standards doesn't really help.

Kilavsky's "Carcano M91" weapon

the bayonet is an instant kill on hit and the fire-mode switch is basically immediate. it has been handy to me several times when suddenly in extreme close-quarters around corners, especially since Ravenfield bots don't to react to you instantly lol

you don't just run at an enemy with a bayonet. to cite that as a legitimate 'anti-fun' reason to hate bayonets on Ravenfield weapons is dishonest, and is either an intentional strawman, or a personal preference being phrased in the worst way possible

I don't have access to those scripts; I was debating trying to find Resistance Sword's script because I know someone ripped it, but low priority [working on Variants Pack 2; ideally, a low single digit number of mods will precede it solely because they will have presence in the Variants, otherwise Variants Pack 2 is the big release of the year/next year Q1]

@bioshzoscorpion while I get where you're coming from, we have scripting tools in the modern day, and they can be applied to weapons. there are at least two mods on the workshop (though they're knives, not really bayonets) that add a melee takedown function like BF1s. its not like it isn't possible. its just an extra step from simply adding a firemode to the gun

if you can name a single mod on the Ravenfield workshop where a bayonet variant of a bolt action rifle is not literal suicide and adds to the gaming experience, without just being a 'haha hold shift at enemy then try poking them to death until they shoot you in under .3 seconds", then I'll add bayonets to my guns.

if we had access to the Resistance Sword's charge stab thing as modders, bayonets would be awesome. we don't, however, and as such bayonets are just like, anti-fun in my opinion. nowhere near worth the effort to make them.

Petergriffin Device is definitely something I want to make [it will not be named that for obvious reasons], main issue is it'll combine two final bosses of weapon modding, that being "complicated animation" and "fire modes". At some point I'm gonna get off my ass and make it, for sure [potentially using some stuff involving separate animation files, or whatever], but it'll require some learning. Was debating making something with a secondary fire mode soon to get practice on the latter half at least.

It's an extremely low velocity for a sniper rifle, so probably not. It's optimized for murdering guys at 30-60m, where it does a max of 112 damage, compared to the standard 80 damage before and 56 damage after that range. I do plan on making longer ranged weapons, though.
