Scenario works correctly on first load in fresh game. Once you've played it once, if you edit the mission again, you have to quit Sea Power, then launch Sea Power again to play the mission.
If you don't do this, all the ground units get shifted from their placed positions, and because of this shifting, they either appear underground or floating (probably because the game still believes they are in the original placed position and render them at that altitude)
Known issue of the map editor apparently, and affects all land placed units.
I cannot fix it without a whole lot of fuckery in the .ini file that I don't care to learn right now, so in my spare time I've been gradually rebuilding the mission from scratch that I will use to update this whenever done, sorry about that
They dont give launch rwr warnings on planes neither ? all the other sites are working as intended
In the mission .ini:
MissionBriefingAssetsDirectory=missions\EscalationGrenada_Briefing
MissionBriefingAssetsSearchPattern=*.png,*.jpg,*.bmp
MissionBriefingLeftPane=missions\EscalationGrenada_Briefing\LeftPane_en.xml
MissionBriefingRightPane=missions\EscalationGrenada_Briefing\RightPane_en.xml
As long as the mod folder you upload follows the same folder hierarchy it should work.
With that method I did notice that you get a listing for both the mission and the briefing in the game scenario selector. You could contain both inside a dedicated folder like people have been doing for campaigns. Would maybe look less messy.
as I have said, this game is ridiculously broken and I genuinely cannot fix this until they sort out the game
Saying that, night vision cameras on aircraft are all completely broken at the moment, so if it is night time when you flew over those areas you won’t spot anything unless you are less than about 500 feet off the ground which is frustrating. i might change the time of day in the mission until that is fixed too
I can only locate aircraft flying over water, ships just north of starting area, as well as a surface group to the east. I cannot locate any land units despite using recon aircraft flying deep into Iran, and directly over the sites in the photo description above.
these will be different for you, so you will need to change those file paths and if you've done it right it will open in the editor
ERROR Loading Mission File from H:\Games\steam\steamapps\common\Sea Power\Sea Power_Data\StreamingAssets\user\missions\Maykays Missions\Operation Faultline: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: path
Should be fixed now, finally!
