We have an update; it seems Egypt is about to buy the Chengdu J-10Cs to replace the F-16 soon. As a result, the F-16 will be no longer the unique unit for Egypt.

Meanwhile, Egypt also has the new units, particularly the SENA 200 IFV whom is introduced in EDEX 2021.

@kensw - Initially i am looking at 22 civs, eventually I would like to reach 35. We will see how it goes.

Question - How many of these Civs do you intend to Create?
For a large map you would probably need a minimum of 10. :Diplomat:

@RMD - Civfanatics is the best place to find information on how to convert units from civ 4 to civ 5, I personally don't do it, but they have people that can assist with that.

I see. How were you able to get models in-game? That's my main hurdle to modding Civ. In addition, do you know how to convert civ 4 models?

CONTINUED

The collection is inspired by my earlier Days of Sadat mod, and I wanted to build on that by offering a more immersive, nuanced experience. For those who enjoy in-depth strategy and history, each unique unit adds variety and expands the tactical choices you can make, reflecting the real-world complexity of today’s military and political landscape. This approach brings a fresh perspective to Civilization V, encouraging players to explore diverse strategies tailored to each leader’s strengths.

In short, these unique units aren’t just additions—they’re a big part of what sets the Modern Day World Leaders Collection apart and enriches the gameplay experience.

@RMD

Thank you for your question! The multiple unique units are intentional and a key part of the Modern Day World Leaders Collection. This mod series is designed to capture the rich military diversity and specialized forces that define modern nations, going beyond the traditional one-or-two unique units per civilization.

Each leader's civ is meant to represent not only a distinct cultural identity but also the unique military capabilities that these nations have developed over decades. For example, Egypt’s wide range of units highlights its historical and contemporary military evolution, from elite Sa'ka Special Forces to the advanced Dassault Rafale. Having a variety of unique units reflects a more realistic view of modern national defense and strategic options, rather than limiting these nations to a single unique combat style.

Why are there so many unique units?
