@buttheadlovepantera The airfield and buildings do take a lot of damage just because of how the are in game. I have had the most success with the Mk-83 dumb bombs, and the CBU-100 Rockeyes for the buildings like the army headquarters. I have noticed if you use things like the guided Paveways for the airfield they sometimes either go for the buildings or the runway and if they hit the runway they don't seem to do much damage. If I could, I would make buildings less resilient to damage. Thanks for playing the mission and glad you liked it!
Very challenging at the start with multiple surface and air contacts converging on the battlegroup. Once they were taken care of there was the matter of the Alpha Strike on the airfield. A lot of surprises here with the AAA on top of the SAM sites, kept me on my toes and required a fair bit of SEAD to take down enough to take on the airfield and secondary targets.
Practiced with some mixed loadouts of bomb-laden Phantoms and A6s and A7s carrying guided bombs. Was interesting seeing how effective each system worked against area vs. pinpoint targets. Ended with one SAM site in the far north still operational and a damaged warehouse. Everything else was toast.
Hope the devs eventually put A4s and maybe even the A3 Skywarrior into the mix.
