I want to try this mod but the last server it was on, it was awful... Not sure if that was due to admin settings but faction chat and safehouse chat broadcasted globally, aka were not private. Private chat did not work at all. And the chat does not scroll to the bottom when new messages are sent.

No idea why but Avatars just do not seem to work, once attempting to upload them, I recieve what seems to be just a random error every time, 4, 11, 6, 9 etc. The admin will approve the avatar but it just does not show up and instead is completely blank. I've ensured it's the right size, file name, directory, etc, but uploading it just does not work at all.

/roll 1d20, 2d10+2 etc doesnt work and can only work using /roll 20, /roll 12 etc. How can i enable it?

Off topic AF, But im playing with Nucleus Co-op with my GF, Im on controller, and i cant turn of the default Chatbox at all with controller since i cant unlock my cursor. Do you know how to turn the chatbox off by default when joining a server, or will maybe this mod save me from the chatbox that overlaps half my inventory?

I'm using the mod on my server, but I'm experiencing an issue: the chat doesn't scroll automatically. Players have to manually scroll down to see new messages. Is this a bug? I believe it used to scroll automatically before, or did I disable an option by mistake?

So when a character dies and the person creates a new character with a different name, the name displayed will still be that of the dead character. Is there any fix for this?

Comme l'ont dit M. nzzlgd et M. Deathstar, la commande "/all" disparaît et devient inutilisable. Dans cet état, les conversations envoyées avec "all" ne sont même plus enregistrées dans le journal.

(As Mr. nzzlgd and Mr. Deathstar mentioned, the "/all" command disappears and becomes unusable. In that state, conversations sent with "all" were not even recorded in the log.)

Is there a way to receive requests for character images when I am the administrator but playing as a different character from the administrator character?

character names wont change from the name you picked for your first character,
for instance, if your name was "Doug Hall" and you died, then your new character is "John Doe"
it will still show up as "Doug" in chat, even if you reconnect.

If you could change one thing I'd be ultra thankful: If you only have a prefix in the chatbox such as /all and press enter (without any text afterwards), the chat windows will not close/become inactive. This is irritating my players, who are used to that Vanilla behaviour

@nzzlgd I meant you could write a text file that helps me answers the question of what English phoneme I should use to pronounce all Russian letter sequences, and send the file to me. Then I would need to write the code that matches those Russians letter sequences with the English sound files.

I am French, I can speak a decent English but I know nothing of Slavic languages and I could not find any online resource to help me understand what English sound I could use to pronounce Cyrillic.

@nzzlgd You can help with that. Here is a list of all the English sounds [github.com], called "phonemes".

For instance 'AIR', 'AI', 'AR' and 'A' are the sounds starting with the letter A, each of them matches an unique sound file.

What you can do is find the matching English sounds for all the Russian phonemes (it does not matter if they are exactly identical).

For instance writing something like 'дп' = 'AR', 'ур' = 'IR' etc... then post in on the Github issues so that I can know what sequence of Russian letters matches what sound. Then I can write the code for it.

@Johngood Ah, that's a shame. I'm no expert coder but could sending the chat box off-screen when pressing X and returning it when pressing a keybind be a workaround until you find a better solution?

The keybind might also focus the chat window as if you pressed Enter, no one would even notice the difference :P

Be cool if player be able to change their character name like in buffy chat with command /name.

Also even despite the sandbox settings, messages were not displayed in the chat about shouts (on Q).

@MMuton It's a bug from the original game but it only impacted server messages so far. It's somewhere on my todo-list, meanwhile you'd better keep the chat opened.

@AOVERB Thanks. I'm not planning on doing it myself but I would gladly accept a pull request on Github that adds a slider to the settings menu.

@Nosoykoko I will rework the /me but I do not plan to remove the avatar. However the voice will be disabled when using /me.

@SpaceFerret No, I won't do that, this mod is made for multiplayer, I never even tried to start it in single player. However you could start a server ('host game' on the main menu) and play alone on it. Then again if someone want to make it compatible with single player I'm all for it.

We cannot see the chat bubbles with the chat window closed. Is this intentional? I couldn't find anything related to this in the settings.

I cannot change the text stroke (it means the black border around the letters), and I do not see why you would want to.

I meant about customizing the server sandbox so that it is enforced from the server holder or the founder of the game project. So that each player does not strain and do not engage in arbitrary customization, so as not to stand out from the classics.
+ the text stroke, maybe i expressed it wrong. It is specifically about the possibility of customization in order that the connected player, immediately could use the configured chat from the server.

Your mod is unique and really deserves respect and attention, because it is a great idea and implementation of functionality.

Players can already change the color of their nickname in chat with the /color command.
I do not see a reason to remove the bubbles, you can change the opacity with TICS.BubbleOpacity in the sandbox options. The text font is controlled by Project Zomboid, I don't think I could easily change it if I wanted to.
As announced before, the /me and /do commands will come in the next major update.

I do not know if I will keep on pushing updates after the /me /do one, it will depend on the state of the Ko-Fi. But people are welcomed to open pull requests on Github, I will maintain the repository and give advice to implement additional features.

@sucgangclarence93 b42 has no multiplayer yet and probably not for a year at least. I plan on porting it to b42 as soon as multiplayer is available.

Good and quality mod, really fact.
But can you add more features when customizing the server? Specifically changing the color of the nickname of players, remove the text cloud / change to classic text above the head, add the command /me ((** base )).

That would come in handy and would be great, but either way, respect:steamthis:
