I do agree with the feedback on the voice acting. Nothing against the actor but his tone made me think this would be an over the top adventure with comedy not the serious story it was. If you ever touch it up, I think the voice acting could be more somber. Very great campaign, one of the longer that I've played and was certainly unique. Trying sequel next.

I like giving my honest opinion about something I happen to enjoy, it's something I've even done in the Left 4 Dead 2 workshop where custom campaigns became the norm and there's a fair share of gems among the list for that workshop, a few that come to mind because I had a slight of hand in helping with the creator was the Resident Evil campaigns by Roku (which I even recall seeing that they did at one point port one of their RE campaigns over here but now seems to have vanished in favor of another one by another creator.). It was nice to see them grow as one and improve the campaigns the more they learned to the point that their campaigns are more or less faithful adaptations of the very source material they were inspired from.

Then there's the fight with the Advisor itself once everything's said and done, I'm sure this fight was meant to be a bit more drawn out than what it was but if you have a charged shot available for the AR2, you can just one-shot the Advisor even on Hard difficulty which I doubt was the intention to make the fight that cheeseable but at the same time, you can't predict what a player's going to do or not.

However the Strider engagements probably could have used a bit more in-universe explanation as to why the Magnasus devices no longer could stick to the Strider's armor plating because as far as I'm aware you could stick them anywhere on the Strider in Episode 2 with nothing really suggesting or hinting that the armor plating prevented them from doing so, like as a visual before you encounter the first Strider or heck even got to the Advisor pod, you could have seen some soldiers reinforcing a Strider's armor plating and once they were done another soldier with a test version of the gravity gun would come in with a device and try to launch it at the armor only for it to bounce off but when they would launch it at the under belly of the Strider it would still stick, it gives the impression that the Combine learned from their failed assault and were taking steps to make sure that if they launched another assault with Striders it wouldn't have the same flaws as last time.

So, full playthrough opinion, still a great first major project and it's something I can very easily see being a good follow-up to the cliffhanger ending of Episode 2, personally better than what "The Closure" attempted with Alyx being depressed after her father's death (yes I'm aware that people will grief in their own way, but "The Closure" if I remember correctly is meant to take sometime after Episode 2's ending so Alyx still being depressed after all that time is a bit much.) I can easily see Alyx turning her grief into anger and want to go after the Advisor that killed her father versus going after Mossman and the Borealis like her father would have wanted (at least not until the Advisor business was taken cared of).

The only criticism I can give based on what I've played thus far is mainly the voice for the rebel at the beginning, maybe it was just my end but it didn't sound that great and again it purely could have just been my end causing that and the random item dispensers, you're only told about the right click for the car to disable Combine barriers so when the radar pings you assume it'll be a hidden cache somewhere and not the random item dispenser that you need the cargo container Alyx freaks out about when you arrive. Now I play on hard (I know most fan-made projects aren't designed for hard difficulty but that's usually the fun of trying) so ammo's more difficult to come by, eventually the player will get tired of trying to use these dispensers if they roll gnomes sometimes on occasion multiple times in a row.

Ok, so far I'm loving the campaign and for a first time this is rather impressive because most times people will usually start with small projects to get a feel of the editor, not making a campaign that dare I say can be a good supplement for the cliffhanger ending of episode 2 since Alyx would likely be driven by her grief to find the Advisor that killed her father rather than immediately go after Mossman to find the Borealis.

Fun little campaign with plenty of cool little moments. Recommended for what it is. Also its a prelude to DEEPER DOWN which is even better.

Very impressive campaign, good level mapping, interactions with Alyx feel very natural, very clever use of mechanics, around 5-7 hours of gameplay.

It's really good map, the interactions with Alyx is precious. One problem though, the very last map forces the game to run on 75 FOV and any attempt to change it via settings or commands only makes the viewmodel smaller or bigger

Fantastic short campaign!

my only major gripe is the striders at the end are laughably non-threatening with the fact the Mag devices will instant kill any of them, and the music kicking in right as you get to instant kill them feels very mis-timed. Kinda wish the Striders more actively moved between the areas with hunter support ala Ep2's Finale.
