All thats there when you open the map are the track pre laid out. The guide I put in place was only to show people how I designed the line, becasue a lot of people didn't know what to do with them. Never, do I want to force anyone to do anything my way. Heck if you think it's betetr to destroy a whole line and build something new, feel free.

A little backstory, the lines maybe be a bit confusing with express and local services, because I model my rail networks after the NYC system which includes a lot of junctions cross overs, and intertwining express/local services.

I want to know is them subway Lines already made and done or do we have to do them as it would be easy if we can just make the way points for them instead of building them as from the map you made for the subway it looks very hard to do

Yes its when you click the link for the new version the subway guide there is specifically made for the new version the one here is speciffically made for the old version

Honestly steam does some weird magic to the map with how they work but I believe it gets stored on the steam cloud but even I'm not sure

Hello there, I know its silly quation but I would like to change the one way roads on this map for my own personal use, but i cant find the map. where does steam download the maps to? which folder?

Glad you Enjoyed the new 2.0 version comming out on Febuary 14 will include 3 more metro line that combine with existing lines as well as a new monorail line that connects with existing lines as well as 35% expansion

It's a fantastic map, and very well made. I do have a few suggestions for improvement:

Subway systems are usually covered by giant roads and difficult to manage well. It's very difficult at times to see which tracks lead to where.
There's also very few locations suitable for placing a subway depot, so I usually end up having to demolish some buildings to make room.

The Monoral in the northern suburbs refuses to work with any sort of a station as it currently stands. I had to demolish it and start over completely, for some reason the tracks are too close to the ground.

The 4-lane highway coming off of the biggest bridge leads to a lot of unnecessary congestion--it should be simplified to just two.

Other than that, it's a really great map. I'm looking forward to more good things!

It´s FANTASTIC SUPER MEGA COOL,
but i think it need one Bridge or tunnel, because i have too much traffic on all bridges, it need a new road or tunnel. Other way it
it, it is best map of 2015. ( i know now isn´t year 2015, but to the future)

On the 6 track portion of the Purple branch <7<,(8),/9\ you will see that there are 2 express tracks going in each the it is supposeded to be layed out like (8) | <7> | /9\ | /9\ | <7> | (8)

<7> which operates on the second track from each end makes express stops which you can see when the local tracks break from the main track to form and express station junction however the /9\ super express dosen't stop at all express stations as you can see it goes right through the split without anywhere to place a station. A stop for the /9\ super express is visible when all tracks split from the main line so that stations can be added on all tracks. (if it a bit confusing read oit slowly and try to understand a bit at a time) The main idea behind most lines it that I don't want the train switching tracks unless it meets up with another line and each line on the 7,8,9 branch have their own track that they do not share with other lines

Solved the monorail (I installed that mod). Anyway, looked through the guide and I'm not sure what is meant by a cannonball service. Could you possibly enlighten me? Also thanks for the guide.

Yes sorry about the Monorail track I am aware about that however have you tried using the subway guide to make the line? Also the guide was made to show people how I imagined the subway line I don't want to farce anyplayer to build it my way

Could you possibly post a map somewhere with how the metro system is supposed to work? I can't quite figure out the pre-defined routes and usually just end up replacing them with my own. Also there's some monorail track that has to be replaced to be usable...

The 6 tracks are custom as well as some of the roads by the highways please do not delete them because they can't be replaced in game with or with our without CIM patch plus. To get these types of roads/tracks you have to go to the map editor where they will give you the option to change the size of the tracks/road up to a maxium of 8 lanes for both 2 way roads/tracks (4 on each side) and one way roads/tracks

Umm two questions why is Manhattan so wide? Also why did you do NJ over Queens and Brooklyn? Other than that I kinda like it have you seen this version though? (They still do NJ over Queens and Brooklyn for some reason)

I see your problem I actually do set the tracks at 8 meters however because the terrains the slope causes problems in extending the track because it can't make a smooth track 8m above the ground I'll get working on a fix for the 2.0 update or 1.5 (if i decide to do one) by making it 12 meters instead this way the problem hopefully shouldn't occur again additionally try to make shoter segements so if any of them cause a problem the can easily be deleted and replaced. I do apologize for your inconvenience however :(. Before I make the update however I want to record all problems that people encounter so I could fix them in 1 big patch.

Sorry, but, like I said, you cant place little peices of track. So I think all you need to do is make the end couple track sections over 8 meters so you can place a depot or two, or what ever the player wants to do. =P

Errrrg... I love the map and the scenery. But I load up the map to find that you can't really use atleast some of the monorail tracks because you have them at ground level, which you can't build in game so it gives you "Not enough space to build here" when you try to place a depot or more track on it. =(
