I was thinking it wasn't mine cuz the CFG files usually don't affect scripts unless you change the values ridiculously, which I didn't.

okay, update, i got it to work?? for some reason it just randomly stops and starts working, i tried disabling all my mods to no avail. the mod works fine though so you don't have to worry about that.

i don't have any issue with other ammo crates, and i have no mods that have anything to do with ammo crates.

I have had zero problems with that happening. Does it happen with any other ammo crates and do you have any mods that do anything with ammo crates?

the mod breaks the scout car's ammo can, it just can't be used at all. please fix.

A mod that does that would conflict with this mod. That kind of thing would be easily done with editing the weapon config and skill.cfg in your install though,

could you make one what changes the shotgun ammo capacity to 2 and give it more pellets like you can do with that one console command so its a double barrel

shotgun's and 357's ammo doesnt appear when entering a map or a chapter

@Aoi Never mind, for some reason, the Deagle script doesn't work with the two mods I mentioned before, but a mod called "one shot kill" for the pistol does change the damage/clip value? I don't understand but it fixes my problem for the time being so thank you for the help anyways.

@Aoi Sorry, I meant the pistol, not the 357. When I get all three mods (Increased ammo capacity, DEagle Pistol and Script) It just resorts to the DEagle pistol and the increased ammo, not the mag size or the damage increase. The 357 is just fine, I already have a mod for that and it's cool, but I meant that the script that changes the damage and the clip size does not work, and when I check at the start of a new game (putting in "sk_plr_dmg_pistol" in the console) it always states that the damage is 5, despite copying the skill.cfg file (as a backup) and changing the values there. I could unsubscribe from this mod and get the Pistol model and the script, but then all of the other ammo capacities are compromised. That is what I meant.

@Potan I actually made a DEagle mag size mod, check my workshop and you'll find it.

As for combining this mod and increasing magnum damage, you can do it two ways:

EASY WAY: Subscribe to this mod. Extract the skill.cfg in the VPK to hl2\cfg\skill.cfg using VPKEdit or Crowbar and unsubscribe and delete the mod folder. Then under "WEAPONS", edit "sk_plr_dmg_357" to change the damage you do and "sk_npc_dmg_357" to change the damage NPCs do.

HARD WAY: Edit your skill.cfg in hl2\cfg\skill.cfg and under "WEAPONS" change "sk_max_(weapon name here)" to the max ammo values you want, "sk_plr_dmg_357" to change the damage you do and "sk_npc_dmg_357" to change the damage NPCs do.

Im trying to get like a Desert Eagle addon for the game, but when I want this mod and the script for the Deagle, it just doesn't work, even if I change the damage in the skill.cfg document myself, (no mod) and I want to know what to do to get it to have more damage but still have increased ammo capacity.

@DIN0_anomaly.mp4 A mod like that would conflict with this one since the method of increasing SMG damage is editing skill.cfg. If you want, you can extract this mod's skill.cfg to hl2\cfg\skill.cfg using VPKEdit or Crowbar, unsubscribe from this mod and then edit the sk_plr_dmg_smg1 variable in skill.cfg.

Its pretty easy to change, don't download the mod and instead, go to steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\cfg and open up skill.cfg and edit the ammo values to mine if you want them, or whatever you want them to be. I'm gonna keep this as it is, since people seem to have liked the values, but they're easy enough to edit if you don't like them. You can kinda look at this as a preset.

@Dren I've thought about changing the revolver to 36, but it seems more people have enjoyed the higher capacity than have requested lowering it so I think I'm gonna keep it the way it is. The Pulse Rifle Alt Fire is staying at 6 cuz its supposed to be increased like the title says.

i like the vision actually, most of these are good but i personally think that the bouncy ball and revolver ammo should be kept at 3 and revolver brought down to like 24 because i think 54 is just overkill as fuck

As far as I've seen, it works just fine in the Episodes. I just tried it out on both my laptop and desktop. Try checking load order, mods that might overwrite ammo capacity or files you may have edited yourself.

Awesome. Thanks for this. I like having more ammo, but the 'infinite' ammo limit from other mods just felt a bit too much to me.
