I did think it would be more fast-paced- given how Gordon would have most weapons at the beginning of the chapter, that's likely the case.

wow half life 2 looks so promising! a plane? crashing into a tower? in an american-styled city? how wacky, i can't wait for this to release a year later in the great year of 2001!!

Now all of those Half-Life 2 leak mods on the internet can be made extremely easy to play through the workshop.

The reason why it was cut is kinda clear... Basically, it's because of what happened in 2001. One of Valve's developers says this in the 20th anniversary documentary.

This was really cool. Went and played the leaked files version afterwards and it's so well adapted while staying true to the original. I hope more maps like these (fan recreated versions of old/cut levels) make it on to the workshop.

I remember downloading this off of Halflife2beta.ru back in the day and really enjoying it. I especially liked the second map where you could see all the fighting going on at the street level I remember.
