I've used the half block and its just a touch too low. I've tried bracing it multiple ways too.
And hopefully not to sound too needy, think there might be a way to have them switch between grind and weld with an event block? I tried and it was no option for that.
We were wondering if it would be possible to add a displacement for the welder line. It would be similar to how the rotor heads can be slightly adjusted. That way we can make the welder line and the bottom of pit to weld up small grid stuff. Think it could be done?
I was wondering if you could explain what the different settings in the config do. There is an actions per tick field, a speed field and a max power field. How exactly do actions per tick and speed interact, and how does power factor into it? I can shove tons of power into the walls but what does that actually do besides drain all my batteries? :)
Setting the Power Input on the welder corners to 100MW has resolved it for me
that shield makes damage to whatever it hits if it can not repel it. I passed with a smal ship with shield that fit entirely inside a big wall and the shield not intereact anyway with the "red" frontier of the wall, and as soon as the ship got to the red it was dismantled as it should be in normal means.
I can build a ship to 100% then grind it down using the wall, then suddenly I'm short on components on a re-build of the same ship I just grinded down.
# EasyConfiguration; auto-generated config file
# Surround text in "Quotes"
Speed = 10.0
MaxPower = 1E+09
MaxWallSize = 50
MaxActionsPerTick = 5000
For those that cant get it working its because the default settings have been set really low to maintain performance from say a sever using them.
If you go into your local save game files in single player there is a config file in the Storage folder called "3370792625.sbm_Math0424"
Up those settings to what you're comfortable with if you want faster print / weld OR if you want to maintain performance you will simply have to use an event controller or something to make a piston go back and forth to allow for multiple passes until the weld or grind is done.
Its pretty slow for either function with the default settings.
Tbh for my private server I use Build Repair Nanobots mod for building but its a lil OP, and this mod looks like a great balanced way for ship production
You're gonna be the one who saaveesss meeeee
And after aaaallllllllll
It's the welderwaaallllll
