@SickFarce I must confess that I haven't been able to re-create this issue on my side but I reckon its one of the conditions that just doesn't fire somewhere or the helicopter is fucked and I should simply script and place a new one. I'm thrilled to read your words and how you invested yourself in my fictional universe. Mission 3 is in stage 1 development since Jan - More to come. I actually wrote 12 mission's worth of storyline but real life gets in the way.

@Skurtus - Developement has been on a moving at snail pace this past few months but Its happening. I had to update my Spearhead 1944 mission series which is what took a lot of time and this very mission was a good 60-70 real time hours to create, script, voice and debug. I'm glad there's a small but growing fan base for this.

Also had problems at the end, with the saving every couple seconds and no Huey. But well, I always load up a ton of mods, so this has to be expected.

But other then that - this is ARMA III perfection. As was the first part. I loved every second of it. The distinct characters, the story, the dialogue, the music, the things you can discover, the suspense. The mission also made me appreciate the beauty of the map it is based on.
An absolute must-play. Can't wait to see more.

@mason77 - Thanks for the feedback - It is an impossible balance to find between story and action dictated by the episodic format I have to release them. Good to know for the helicopter - It is supposed to land at base and wait until the mission is over, unless I did touch the gauge (maybe) then the consumption ratio is maybe busted. Good spot! Mission 3 is in development and with its own twist and Mission 4 is in pre-dev too. Don't forget to leave a rating :-)! See you in the jungle !

Great attention to detail, great atmosphere. The briefing was so good. It builds up on the first mission's story nicely. Telling the CIDG story is very appropriate cause that's what the SF did in Nam most of the time. A couple of notes from my side:

1. The mission is long and that's perfectly fine. However, I find the number of firefights too much for the small recon team on the recon mission. It's kinda immersion breaking, I had firefights most of the time. More appropriate for an S&D mission. I know it's not easy to strike a balance, too little action and it will be boring to some. Just my two cents anyway.
2. I think I found an issue with the heli not showing up at the end. For some reason it was empty on fuel. I accessed it through Zeus, filled up fuel and everything worked almost perfectly. It did not want to land and pick up the team until I ordered the team to board the chopper. But the hot extraction was so good.

Eagerly awaiting next one :)

@sensei.tokugawa Thank you for your kind message - Vietcong is indeed the inspiration for my pet project and I'm glad I found someone that appreciates the depth rather than just me see me shoot. Mission 3 is development - you will see the updates posted on my youtube channel. Do flag any bugs.

Definitely a high quality work of passion here, we've just passed WP Alberny, catching very distinct vibest of the first Vietcong game made by Pteranodon that I played over 20 years ago, its only drawback being the tunnel mode of movement ... And here we are, twenty tears later and this beauty appears all of a sudden. Just one wish I'd like to make - keep'em coming and we'll work with the Viet Cong; find'em, grease'em, search'em and leave'em ... and mind you all : I support the just wars of national liberation ...

facing same issue as the others where at the end the heli is a no show, it doesn't take off from base

@Hans(z) - Thanks for letting me know. Mapping those cliffs was a real pain in the ass and I'm sure a few of those design flaws slipped through the crack. I see which one it is I'll swing a correction tomorrow. Mission 3 is already in development as we speak however work load will come to a crawl with the holiday season. Regarding the exfil I was wondering if the helicopter got buggered but since it was at base then its not that ... I guess I'll just drop brand new triggers and update the damn thing. Sometimes Arma throws a fit ... Anyway thanks for playing. If you fancy a bit of WW2 I did a 3 part campaign about the paratroopers on D-Day with the Spearhead DLC! Same style!

Also there is bunker after the ressuply village (where you meet friendly soldiers). Bunker and rock formation clip into each other and you cannot get to the top of the bunker. You can hardly see it in eden editor. It's not game breaking but there is guy with scoped mosin which I realy realy realy want! :steamhappy:

No additional mod except "debug console" which should only unsuppress deb. console. Due to its length I had to play the scenario in two parts => I used "resume" which could brake something. I'm looking forward to part 3, maybe there will be new nickel steel update - more content!

10/10, but I have the same problem with LZ like @arnieearly. Helo didn't show up and game saved every 5 seconds. I waited about 10 minutes, then I used debug console to look around and helo was still at main base. I don't know where could be the problem.

verry good scenario, but helli at the LZ never showed up, and too many autosaves at the LZ, probably some of my mod caused it. otherwise 10/10 thanks
