nor would the demon core, if it still had enough material to be used for its original purpose, explode upon reaching criticality even if it was left in that state; itd need to be put into its implosion sphere and detonated, you know, how the demon core wouldve been used if japan didnt surrender and how the implosion type atom bomb actually works
So it should irradiate, not explode
I am, however, still not sure whether it would continously glow in blue or orange color - plutonium glow spectrum, according to what I managed to find when I was doing this mod, is ~orange.
But I didn't take into account air ionization, which is, indeed, blue (case of Cherenkov's glow)
For now I'll just add the blue flash when the core prompts critical
