So the differences are...
WIth Mod you can see the firing recoil along with a fixed position.
WIthout mod the tool gun fires statically and looks off if you keep pressing the trigger...

i really like how this version looks, i think the positioning looks nice and i like the more exaggerated recoil :3
i just wish the cylinder spun when shooting :(

We should note, there is another mod which ports over the rest of the original HL2 viewmodels with c_model support, so weapons such as the Revolver have their old positioning, alongside the one-handed Pulse-Rifle.

We've been aware of this for a long time. It was mainly just waiting for someone to properly convert hands over to the c_model system (alongside having the proper animation order for servers! One did originally port this but had that in the wrong order, which caused it to get removed.)

Because a lot of people don't know that they ever changed its animations at all, I only found that out about 3 years ago

Lovely! Though, so strange it took until this long for the old toolgun AND its animations to get c_hands. You'd think someone would've done it sooner
