without a reliable way to reproduce it and an rpt as an github issue, there isnt much i can do about that.

- Make the ai smoke another cigarette: not without scripting, manually giving them a new cigarette and stuff.

I was contemplating about a system that lets AI Smoke autonomous and have some ideas, but currently no time to implement it.

I made a PR to Antistasi to add the lighters and packages to the starting arsenal when this mod is getting detected. Rest is up to them.
hey just so you know this does not work with antistasi plus as you cant seem to get lighters or the cigerate packs i have spent two hours now trying to find away there is none i would have put this in the given link but one it wasnt working and two i didnt realy know if this would count

I am not aware of any github tutorial?

.psd is is a photoshop file.
.p3d is a model file.

If anything, you need to edit the .p3d with the object builder and update the texture paths for the model inside the p3d.

and the psd needs to be converted via .png to a .paa first

Hello! For a bit I'm trying to create a sub-mod for your project using github tutorial that has been posted there, but I'm stuck at the part where I'm supposed to turn .psd files to .p3d ones. How do I do that? I would be grateful for any amount of help!

if i understand it right, its an issue about the 3d models. I had someone look at it before and "fix it" but it started happening again.

I am a scripter, i have absolutely fucking no clue about 3d models, even less in arma 3.

Its a "known issue" that i personally dont know how to fix.

if there's a .p3d warrior around reading this and is willing to help out, im very happy to fix this issue and to do a couple of other small changes to make the creation of new cigs so so much easier.

Hey, I've been having issues with this mod (and the original one) on my community's server. I have these constant errors showing on the web console/log when I start smoking:


17:08:30 Subskeleton index out of range. There seems to be a SubSkeleton index that is greater than the number of sub skeletons, this should not be happening. Please report it with reproduction steps/files.
17:08:30 Warnings in z\cigs\addons\morley\data\cigs\cig1.p3d:shadow(1000)

When it's only me is not a big deal, but usually we're more than 40 players smoking and then is when the server's performance starts to slow down.

Any tips? (besides maybe stop smoking all of us at the same time hahaha)

I have a little over 900 hours in blender. I've never really made game assets before but I have modelled a spliff. It's topology is not game ready though (o tris). I'd offer to make that for you but not being aware of arma/game import parameters for models, im at a bit of a disadvantage.

So apprently its something only affecting on the client side.
If people who have been affected by bad frames could provide me with client's rpt, that could help.

Confirmed, as soon as we disabled this mod the frames came back.

Update from a separate unit, we also had this loaded with 20+ players, frames slowly bled to less than 5 FPS. Currently restarting the server and unloading to verify the issue. Note there is no record able reason from a Server/Client side (no RAM leaking, VRAM etc.), just poor frames on the CLIENT SIDE - Server stays stable at 47 FPS.

Update: removed Immersion Cigs - Rewrite, problem resolved. 40 player mission couldn't withstand the new additions.

We had this in our modset and it made our players bleed frames until it was below ten for majority after most recent update today.

Can't 100% guarantee its this mod but I'll comment again if our troubles subside after nixing this from the mission.

The multiple packs is an easy fix, but im supprised they apply on the players - there is already a check for that and it worked fine during development. Can you give me more information on howt to reproduce that?

ai cigs mod gives ai like 2 lighters and 2 matches and 4 packs of cigs; also can you stop it from applying to players

Update 2.4:

New: Cigs on AI.
Add's cig packs and lighters to AI, both placed in the mission.sqm but also spawned in during the mission. Configurable through CBA Settings. Default disabled.
