One thing I found is that if you change every "ArmyGroupDef" in StrategyConquest.txt to just "ArmyGroup", the AI becomes a lot better at attacking.

Normally, they will leave half of their armies for defensive purposes only, but this is such a waste. If they commit only 50% to the invasion and it gets defeated, when they could've won by committing 100%, that's the difference between successfully occupying a region and failure.

Even with this change, they will still defend using the normal ArmyGroup when not invading so it's great change overall. Highly recommend trying it out!

@Ramblin' Man Yes, this one is. You need the GDP++ version of this mod available on my Workshop page or from the GDP++ page as a dependency. You can't use both Improved AI mods at the same time.

My game freezes whenever I try activating the part of the mod. is it incompatible with the GDP++ stuff?

@perl Thank you! I just completed a game using the latest GDP++ version of this. Definitely a very different dynamic than the stock game. I hope people enjoy it.

Just finished a game with this mod. It works surprisingly well! The AI is finally building armies to pose a threat and it's more fun & challenging compared to the base game. Great work!
