I got a question. idk if its been asked before does being in the beta affect the mod/mods stability? Should I go to the normal version for better experience?

Same question as @Dostie, but what are the mission objectives for mission 6? All hostile ships, submarines, and radars have been destroyed, and I don't see a pop-up message to complete the mission.

Could you please update the campaign's wp_large_pvo_airbase_variants.ini and land_units_names.ini files when you can?

There have been many changes to them in six months, and this could fix potential issues in the current state of the game.

Tbh, 1oth mission might be the worst mission here. Fps is very low, enemy planes rush while you have little to no help

Stuck on second mission. My granites can't hit a target, they always hit civilians, same with other missiles, torpedoes miss and turns out all that time near 2 ships there was a submarine which caugh me off guard.

Cowardly NATO dogs in mission 2 are really causing me some issues, mixing in with the civvies and sniping with the sub. Very well done, even if I'm too bad at the game to deal with it lol

I have just completed mission 7 and...wow. I really do enjoy these missions. They are just long enough that you don't really need to save and come back (which i have found breaks the triggers anyway). But, they are also difficult enough thats its not a one sided engagement. There is a real risk, and you have to pay attention. Mission 7 humbled me, and those Mk48's can do one. I spent 20 mins with about 50 sonar bouys and lost two ships...only for the sub to be in the only gap in my screen. This is fine though, its hard and makes you focus and isn't just a brain dead slaughter of blue-for ships.

I particularly enjoy things like when the 'satellites' pass over is mission 7 and give you intel...great use of this mechanic!

Got to be honest, im getting fed up with missions where you do nothing but follow the orders you're given, get attacked and die to rng.

Mission 8, i was attacked by A6. Died. Early in mission, but long enough to be a waste of time.

Can mission makers please stop relying on sudden attack with no intelligence or sudden missile spam tropes please.

I completed mission 3 two times and I never encountered a sub at all, I managed to sink all surface vessels and got victory conditions. I was also spamming intermittent boys like crazy, deployed sonar and never got any signal.

I haven't gotten to play them all yet but mission 3 is a notable example i had killed just about every enemy ship with the exception of a heavily damaged Iowa and a fresh Kidd class. i was at least 150 NM out when 8 torps come one by one come from nowhere and sink every ship i had that was still anti ship capable. the game did say NATO had a significant fleet but i never saw anything that said subs

@theseus You will be told if there is hostile subs. In the missions were you have to meet subs you will have ASW units available to you. Not every missions have subs (part 1 for example) What missions are talking about specifically?

is there enemy submarines in every mission? like i get it the us has subs but personally i find sub hunting more frustrating than fun. not to mention it kills the mood when i have almost won a mission just to have 10 torps come from nowhere and sink my entire fleet

Just spent hours on "Part 7: Experimental", dropped hundreds of sonarbouys and never had a single return. Only to get fucked but sub launched torps. Then dropped 2 dozen more torps along the path of the torps to never get a single return.

Dont know if its updates, the fact i saved and loaded, but spending hours on a mission to lose to something you cant get any feedback on sucks.

Enjoyed this camping until that moment.

@FrankenFact I changed some things to Part 4. You now get a second smaller airbase to remove the pressure from the first big airbase. Tweaked the flight decks on both airbases to help FPS (removing useless planes such as the Tu-16 which can only carry dumb bombs) :steamthumbsup:

These missions are shit slog with pretty minimal polish. Its like the most laggiest clusterfuck of assets shoved into a mission. You spend literally hours micromanaging nonsense trying to cope with ships beaching themselves or doing ATC for an entire airforce trying to share a singular runway. The subs you either have to spend 4 hours in time warp x50 going 5 knots, micromanage them hoping the enemy sub conveniently placed in front of them gets detected or dive below layer and go fast until you hear them die while micromanaging some other bullshit.

I think that applies to all of them but especially mission 4. The others come off as something barely play tested, the(mostly iirc) lack of mid mission intel/updates or anything to give them that life and polish that some of the default or fleet command missions had.

if you have problems with the airfield being underground try pressing f10 (debug mode), then go to the terrain menu and then reload the terrain.

heh, in part 4 the airfield is underground resulting a significant portion of the planes crashing when take off and landing.

I have an issue with mission 2. Firing p700s at the convoys... the missiles just all go straight south to I assume Brussels?

just loaded up 4- carrier strike and the USSR radar and airfield all spawn under the terrain and when my jets take off they fly up into the ground and explode lol anyone get this? i dont have any other mods loaded up either.

Opening in Editor mission 4(Murmansk) from Nevere Fade Away. Adding a new aircrafts from Workshop (Su-27, MIg-29A,29K), like new groups on map. But its still. stuck on Loading mission(. Next step adding this planes from Workshop on Pechora airbase in Flightdeck, but planes didnt apear on airbase and didnt take off. Did anybody know what problem is it?

Heads up, anyone playing mission 4 i recommend doing it while listening to Ace Combat or Project Wingman soundtracks trust me. In all seriousness though mission 4 really shows how dumb the AI is currently. Like, i feel like i shouldn't micromanage this much.
