Pretty nice mission, I destroyed 2 ships but a Slava survived 15 harpoons so I had to use the standard missiles

@distrc, P3 bug has been fixed (just loaded the mission and verified), recommend unsubscribe, resubscribe, if you subscribed a while ago, you may not have gotten the updated version. Congratulations on not being detected by the AI

No Harpoons on the P3. No missiles fired by the soviets at my fleet.

glad I was right and I didn't have a brainfart or something, glad to be of help @iBlank
iBlank  [author] 28 Jan @ 1:50pm
@G13, great catch, thanks! Apparently at some point in the recent patches, they changed the name of the P3s load out from ASuW to AntiShip; fixed in both standalone mission and the complete collection
iBlank  [author] 28 Jan @ 9:03am
@G13, that’s the first I’ve heard of this issue, I’ll look at it tonigjt
G13 TALOS 28 Jan @ 5:19am
@iBlank it doesnt have that either
iBlank  [author] 27 Jan @ 10:30am
@G13, correct, it has 4 harpoons instead; there are no Kilos in your current op area, they are just in located in the greater pacific area; little touch of realism to the intel/briefing
G13 TALOS 27 Jan @ 9:47am
So the P3 has no sonarbhoys or torpedoes in it
Stealth17 24 Jan @ 12:32pm
@iBlank Cool, thanks for responding :)

@stealt17, thanks for playing and appreciate the feedback; I hope you check out the rest!

you're absolutely right, I initially made this scenario in response to a Ryu video on EMCON because people weren't getting it, and this is a scenario where if you stay at EMCON and use your helo only, you'll never got shot at; maybe not as fun for some, but its a much more realistic version of SAG v SAG. However, the AI does let REDFOR down; in reality, if a helo was randomly shot down the SAG would respond or if a helo saw a group of ships operating in formation, it wouldn't go in for a VID asking to get shot at; unfortunately thats an AI limitation and something I hopefully resolved in my remaining scenarios. I do this for a living so try and keep all my scenarios as realistic as possible within game limitations. And the kilos are just some good ole fashion deception/bad intelligence, but they appear in Operation Black Bear

Feedback: I did the mission just now and I think the AI has let down the Soviets. I only saw them launch a helicopter once.
There were never any Kilos, so they didn't serve as a detection platform. I just crept into range, launched 32 Harpoons and ended them without them ever firing a shot.

@iBlank cheers
iBlank  [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 4:19am
@jk, unlocated in this context means you have no intel on their potential location, no datum, etc; just know that they are underway in the op area
justinkelleher 26 Dec, 2024 @ 7:04pm
What does "unlocated" mean in the briefing?
iBlank  [author] 18 Dec, 2024 @ 1:47pm
Briefings are fixed in this and my other missions.

@APB, @jasoriab, known issue here; I need to save the mod in a different location (streamingassets/operation intercept) vice where I have it currently; but there's a bug in the stable branch where if you put your scenario folder in that location, you can't save a briefing there, Devs are on it
jasoriab 16 Dec, 2024 @ 10:07pm
The problem with local mods is that Steam periodically resyncs downloaded mods, replacing the modified files with the original mod files, so local edits are lost. I've had this happen with several files that I modified to work properly on my PC

The only option is for @iBlank to fix it and upload a new version with that change...
Anti-Personic Bullet 16 Dec, 2024 @ 8:14pm
Editing the mission briefing directory entries in the ini to remove "missions\Operation Intercept Standalone\" the briefing works.
Anti-Personic Bullet 16 Dec, 2024 @ 8:03pm
I tried unsubbing/resubbing and both the public beta and not but the mission briefing doesn't show up when I start the scenario or when I press the mission briefing button on the pause menu. Also, should the Yarnell be the 1968 version with Terrier instead of Standard?
Cladecq 11 Dec, 2024 @ 2:27pm
Very nice use of dynamic check in/out !
I like it a lot, and I will use it... when I will start to make some scenarios (I still wait the save option to be implemented to start building scenarios).
This is how I made it, with 2 coordinate strikes TASM/Harpoon :
SPOILER : DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO BEFORE DOING THE SCENARIO, PLEASE !

This was great - Really looking forward to more!

Very good, very nice use of triggers and I love the message format. Great stuff!
ryu1940 8 Dec, 2024 @ 11:11am
Awesome scenario, one of my favorites out there right now for jumping right into a small SAG v SAG fight and not take 3 hours irl to get through lol thanks man!
iBlank  [author] 7 Dec, 2024 @ 4:53am
@FallRisk, thats the plan; either with this scenario or I'm planning on creating a whole campaign sequence
Fall Risk 7 Dec, 2024 @ 2:36am
I feel like this could be a start to a good campaign series.
