I seem to be having the same issue as Quetzalcoatl, where I invited the npc to my home but the dialogue for adoption broke. The game is sending the error "NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of object <analyze stackframes>" many times every single second until I quit the game and reload.

for reference the adoption list is populated by charas in the orphanage zone, so even if the adoption mother is in a different area they should still display the kiddos. so i'm not sure why that happened, it might've been a fluke... and don't forget backups are available for saves.

Hmmm, an update from my last post. I did reload my game after it bugged out and it still didn't do anything, but rebooting Elin then reloading did seem to help bring back things to normal.

excuse me, I think I found a fairly disturbing bug that kinda messed up my save. So I got to invite the NPC into my home, and when I clicked on her Adoption option... nothing happens. At least, no window popped up because there are no "children" to adopt in my settlement.

Unfortunately, after exiting her dialogue, I can't click on anything else. Sadly, I saved after this (and quit) and I think I'm gonna be stuck in this state even after reloading. Got any fixes for this?

yes, just increase the affinity, by gifting items and talking!

Aww, thank you! Currently they're assigned a random name like most NPCs, no portrait at the moment. I will be looking into adding dialogue probably tomorrow, at the moment they use the nun dialogue ^^
