Any chance of making a version with quieter flare sounds or just option to remove the sound?

@Boltte The flavor text for any weapon is usually in its pickup or inventory files, which tell the game what to display in the trader menu, in the corner of the screen when holding it, and in the middle of the screen when you pick them up off the ground.

..it looks like flavour text for a weapon called spas....but these are flares.......maybe it's called spas in a different language other than english?

If not, where's the flavour text for the flares then? Or maybe you've set it to auto translate to local language with original being in russian....

@Boltte That is correct- it also serves as a template for users in other languages, although how to get the game to read from it is beyond me.

@Кошачий Депутат: You could either mute the sound in an audio editor and recompile it with that, or if you know coding you could disable the ambient sound it makes altogether.

Hi! I noticed simply subscribing to this item is not enough to make these flares work. The game says it has been downloaded. Is there possibly extra steps I should take in order for them work properly?

@Blouda The link isn't dead- you need to replace the [dot]s with actual .s for the URL to work. Or you could try this:

Steam workshop doesnt want to download the file ( i waited long enough in the main menu and nothing happens) and the link is dead . What a shame because I like the idea of this mod very much ;_;

Nice item. I´ve seen that It works better inside constructions, tested outdoors in KF-Mountain Pass Night and the flares didn´t have the same effect as indoors. Wonder If you can maximize the luminosity.

@Crestfall: As for what perk(s) to assign it to, the misc/extras section (where the ZED Guns are) seems to work well, then people know where to find them easier. As for bonuses, there really aren't any perk-dependent bonuses that would apply to it.

@Crestfall: The nearby entries already in the serverperks.ini should tip you off. Typically the pickup lines go into that one, and the weapon lines (in this case, the Handheld) go into SCRNBalance.ini

New Steam Group For Killing Floor Content Creators

This groups goal is to bring the communities of Killing Floor 1&2 together so that they can share their creations and expertise with other community members. It is also a great place to put together and manage team projects through the Steam client.

Exceedingly useful on the community 'lights out' maps... it's difficult to see a clot in your face on KF-Bioticslab when your in the lights out variant, even more so when my primary weapon is a Katana and only my pistol has the flashlight.

Nice nice nice! About a week ago I thought while playing KF that glowsticks/chemlights would be so cool to have in kf as purchasable and placeable items. This one fits nicely aswell even though I like chemlights more.

Love the flares! Only downside: when outside, especially in areas with gras these give little to no light... An example map would be KF-MountainPassNight. Any possible changes?
