@TurtleShroom: I consider anyone who mentions "bloat" to be a buffoon. Do you wanna be one?
TurtleShroom 20 Jul @ 9:07pm
@Hunni

That's called margarine, which is a substitute made from vegetable oil, although some margarines have buttermilk it.
TurtleShroom 20 Jul @ 9:06pm
Flower grow zone... what bloat. Just use the farming zone form the original game. There's no wonder I couldn't find it, then! I have been looking for where to grow vanilla for a long, LONG time!
sewnutty 20 Jul @ 8:06pm
@Aluxxen simple...VE plants expanded, VE brewing, and VE more plants give you either a direct growing plant for said recipe in normal grow zones or requires to plant a flower grow zone from the orders tab.
Aluxxen 20 Jul @ 7:10pm
How do I grow the alpha crafts flowers? Like lavendar and such, for the specialty tea satchets? I cannot for the life of me figure it out

This mod taught me that a form of butter can be made from fresh sweet corn that is used as a vegan alternative.

No, it is a custom system. You can see the formulas used on the mod's GitHub page
sewnutty 10 Jul @ 7:24pm
@Consecutive by the nature of the beast...no. Variable yields depend on the cooking skill of the colonist and considering that Tynan's team updated Rimworlds skill system a few years back lvl8 is now considered the full 100% marker.

Hmm that is interesting....that should be either the cooking skill or your pressing corn oil from the artisanal bench instead of the oil press. As that has a 40% efficiency cap in oils, butter, and jams.
Also 55silver in (10)corn => 100 silver in (10)oil = 45 silver profit!!! Not including the uh...actual trading buffs/debuffs that happen in game.
Consecutive 10 Jul @ 12:31pm
I'm on 1.5 btw, dunno if that matters
Consecutive 10 Jul @ 12:31pm
I've seen the spreadsheet, perhaps I'm just a bit slow but I don't think I understand. For oil, 5.50 ingredient value equates to 1 oil. Corn = 1.1 therefore 50 corn = 55 value which should be 10 oil, at least as far as I understand it, but I only get 4 oil.

Smokeleaf = 1.6 value, 50 smokeleaf = 80 therefore smokeleaf should yield 14 (or 15, I dont know how these recipes deal with rounding numbers), but I get 10

I may be misunderstanding how it works so please let me know.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 9 Jul @ 11:20pm
@Moo: Thanks again, you are the MVP

@Aluxxen: Culprit is the mod that adds "FuelGen_Ambience", that one is not mine

@Consecutive: I have a spreadsheet, you can see it there.
Consecutive 9 Jul @ 11:01pm
For recipes that have variable yields based on the ingredients used, is there a way to see the yield before crafting it.
For example in the case of oil, making it with corn yields 4, using smokeleaf gives 10, is there a way to see this without actually crafting it?

Awesome mod btw.
Aluxxen 9 Jul @ 3:50pm
Hi,
It seems the Artisan Fermenter won't dispense vinegar once it is brewed. It's at 100%, it has a valid storage spot, but colonists won't collect it and it doesn't drop on the floor like a brewing barrel would.

My log is spammed with the following two messages. It finally stopped the log bc it reached the character limit lol. I suspect this is the thing name?

Hi Sarg,

BlacklistedIngredientDefs.xml (from 1.6/Mods/VanillaFoodVarietyExpanded/Defs/BlacklistedIngredientDefs/) is unable to find some Defs

Had no logs for this issue, but in my 1.6 playthrough the "Artisan Workshop" is the only workstation that assigns the Kitchen role to a room. I tested with all of the vanilla kitchen workstations (Fueled/powered stove, butcher's table/spot, campfire, etc.) separately and together and none of them assign the kitchen role to the room, resulting in a 20% work speed reduction.

Checked my logs and there were no errors when either placing or removing any of the aforementioned stations, vanilla or modded.

This may be an issue on my end, as I haven't tested it without the rest of my modlist, but I just wanted to put the bug on the map! Thanks for all the hard work you do on these mods.

What mod adds the army truck in the third image?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 4 Jul @ 10:27am
I'm not sure how you want me to help with that lol
Trace 4 Jul @ 10:21am
Midway through a game buttermilk disappeared along with my lemon trees. No error report or notification in the debug log. Just poof, gone. Am I missing something?

Sarj, you have the best mods on the workshop. Thank you for giving us all this free stuff.
frost.9 24 Jun @ 7:39pm
Hey man, thank you for the fast updates!

A little question/suggestion, is it possible to make all items usable? It would be nice if some of them could add some kind of temporary buff. Like soap adding comfort or a minor mood boost, as if they were non-addictive drugs.

Just for the google docs document itself I'm downloading this and every other suggested mod on here, I fucking LOVE that now I can just look at things and go "uuu this is the most profitable! efifciency!" (while being tremendously inefficient in a hundred other ways lol)
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 21 May @ 11:59am
Dunno, you are not giving me any useful information at all

Would you be willing to consider contributing an "allow harvest" toggle to VE Plants' Flower Garden Zones? Sometimes I want to plant flowers for the purpose of having flowers, not to have a monopoly on the Rim's scented soap industry.
(I'm aware I could plant flowers without a harvestYield, but they're not as pretty for me to look at. And I'm aware I could use prop flowers, but they're not as pretty for my colonists to look at.)
~Nols~ 16 May @ 7:49am
@John Smith was having difficulty aswell. With VE More Plants you get new grow zone types. Specifically you need to place a garden zone

Addie Van Winters 12 May @ 5:32pm
you should add snake oil- it's just a bunch of random ingredients put together for a decent amount of work that you can try and peddle for a high price

How are you supposed to grow violet, Ylang ylang and the other plants mentionned in some recipes? I can't find their associated research at all, and they don't show up as an option in my growing zones
TurtleShroom 20 Apr @ 12:03pm
@Sirghostvonghost

Good news! I made a Mod that did that!

There's something special about making essential oils due to high market demand while a fleshmass heart devours half my map. Can't wait to make twisted meat based products! Anomaly doesn't clash with EVERY mod, so it seems.

In all seriousness, having way more fun with this mod than I ever thought. I think selling cocaine/sculptures/thousands of human leather just was too old, and this was something I never realised was missing from the base game.
