> there's no option on the MAIN MENU to change the tileset. You have to start a game, WITH the default tileset, then hit esc, game options, UI tab, graphics mode THEN the option should appear.

this fixed my problem! thanks
Edit to my previous post, you have to pull the files from your steam content folders and put both the .tea file parts into the add-on folders just like you were getting it off the website. it does not work normally using the steam subscribe button but you need to subscribe to get the files!
does not work anymore rip tilesets for tome :(
blackdragon.be 19 Mar @ 11:34am
Tried it, doesn't work. There's no option to change to this tileset, only Modern and the classic ones.

@Hogman hey, there's no option on the MAIN MENU to change the tileset. You have to start a game, WITH the default tileset, then hit esc, game options, UI tab, graphics mode THEN the option should appear.

I am subscribed to both 1 and 2 graphics and 1 and 2 music, and I cannot find out how to change the graphics in the UI menu, the option oldrpg is not an available selection? any help?

well, I dont know if Steam bugged, but nothing popped up when I went to see you a message - anyone can download a zip of Old RPG revival 2.0 via "https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ar0C6Jg6LE45lc94Ic6WXgMHG2K1oQ?e=bs0zbI" and v1.8 via "https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ar0C6Jg6LE45kuRM8Qv0guQbdH9T-g?e=pQGSGl"

Also, some tile-sets for certain dungeons are off - Ardhungol in the East (north of sunwall) is supposed to have tile set very similar to the sand worm lair, but its using something else - looks more like a rock cave of something.

You might be inheriting a ton of issues from the last version, probably the one or two versions previous to that that I mentioned having is worth a look. I will stop waiting for a reply and just send you a direct message about it and I will unsub from this thread and just expect direct communication, if needed, in the future.

so far the cloth armor and other caster stuff is all I noticed since I tend to roll that way, and I usually play cornac for the extra points and I dont tend to find racial trees that great (skeleton is interesting - for shadow blade and a few others).

So far, a lot of robes are just various greys and what not - its like a default file is being used when others cannot.

anyway - if you want access to that older version of the mod (which only had alignement issues as far as i know - and of course, didnt cover everything as this newest version does, of course), let me know, I will private you a link to the onedrive share.

@BinaryGod Hey first I've seen someone deep dive into the mod and it's sprites. I sent you a friend request, you seem motivated to get this mod up to snuff and I'm totally down for the help finding the issues. TBH, with so many sprites I tend to gloss over this kind of stuff, but I will totally fix it up if I have someone pointing it out one-by-one.
BINARYGOD 1 Feb @ 5:44pm
I have a copy of "tome-addon-oldrpg-revival (2.0)" if you want to compare, you seem to be missing some files it has, but you also have more than it does (likely because the newer version of the game just has more to it).

For examples, your have no "head_17.png" for the human races, which is the blue hat with yellow/gold on it, similar to the way the cashmere robe is supposed to look - so I don't know if the game pulls a default file you specify when it cannot find what it should have or if this is something else, or if the number changed - looks like "head_22.png" is being used for the cashmere like hat, but the thumnail or paper doll version for both is blue with yellow on it - the sprite being used is more brownish.

Actually, based on some basically-ignored feedback I gave the person who did the last version of this (Overdrive), I think some of his mistakes got carried into yours.

Highers and Cornacs used to have different models. Here are three things to double check that I previously report for Overdrive:

Feedback/Issues:
(02/12/2020 - 1) Highers and Cornacs share the same player model but originally were distinct humans. To be clear, the Cornacs are using the Higher model.
(02/12/2020 - 2) The lower level leather armor is dark brown with darker brown, and I believe it used to be a mix of light and dark brown (but this might be an art change you made)
(02/12/2020 - 3) The basic dagger model may or may not be correct, as they almost seem to have the look of something unique (but might be an art change you made)

Since this is what you called something of an RC, perhaps a second one, when you get to it (your not paid by anyone to do this so I dont expect any time-frames), would be warranted.

I can confirm an older iteration of the mod did have blue cashmere spirtes. Probably just some copy/paste like issue when fixing things up. might be good to check around for other stuff. To be clear, Cashmere DOES use a different sprites than other kinds, but its not the proper color. More of a white-ish or light grey thing where some of the other cloth robes are straight up grey and other dark grey.
BINARYGOD 29 Jan @ 7:04pm
The distinction between robes types seem reduced - Cashmere I could have sworn was more a blue thing - perhaps its using the wrong model? Etc for the rest of caster/cloth gear.

@夏日听蝉, 秋夜闻雨, however, if you're using the music mod, the latest update to *that* mod has the Orcs DLC music finally replaced.
krazycure  [author] 5 Jan @ 5:35am
@夏日听蝉, 秋夜闻雨 very small update. Shotbags were standardized to the new sprites across all classes (previously only whitehoof/ghoul had them). It's not a worth a new save just to see that.
夏日听蝉, 秋夜闻雨 4 Jan @ 11:28pm
@krazycure Thanks for your wonderful work! I have be using your workpiece ( tileset and music) for a half month. May i ask what is the update content today(2025.1.5)? And do i need to make a new save slot instead of what i use now.
Best Regard!

I'm Japanese and I love this:steamthumbsup:
It reminds me of a game I used to play.:marijaonlooker:
Ausemere 22 Dec, 2024 @ 9:16am
Yesterday I tried from within a game instead of menu, yes. But today for some reason the option finally appeared now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
krazycure  [author] 22 Dec, 2024 @ 7:48am
Ausemere - you're sure you're attempting to change from WITHIN a new game, not from the game menu? The option won't appear on the main menu, for whatever reason, it HAS to be done from a new game.
Ausemere 22 Dec, 2024 @ 7:34am
@夏日听蝉, 秋夜闻雨 — That's what I'm talking about, 'oldrpg' doesn't appear as an option in that menu. Only modern, ASCII and custom.
夏日听蝉, 秋夜闻雨 21 Dec, 2024 @ 7:49pm
@Ausemere please see "***DON'T FORGET TO ENABLE THE TILESET FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER STARTING A NEW GAME***: start a new game - esc - game options, UI tab, change graphics mode from 'Modern' to 'oldrpg' after subscribing to parts 1 and 2." ABOVE!
Ausemere 21 Dec, 2024 @ 2:25pm
Not working for me, the option for oldrpg doesn't even appear in the graphics mode (Yes, I'm subscribed to both parts).
krazycure  [author] 21 Dec, 2024 @ 7:37am
It can be used with the DLCs, however, some items/terrain will use the default tiles in orcs/cults areas.
夏日听蝉, 秋夜闻雨 21 Dec, 2024 @ 1:57am
Q: Can this be used with dlcs?
