Yeah, it was a load order thing. My bad. You fry your head looking at so many different details when putting a mod list together, sometimes you miss the obvious right in front of you.

I've never put any confidence in CA's auto sorting based on symbols, though. lol

I was just using the definitive edition, GoB, this submod, and the console commands mod to speed up testing. I'll check after work. Load order might have been the issue, I assumed the filenames would sort them automatically but Lily's starts with a ! I think

Are you perhaps placing Guns of Bretonnia below Lily's All-In-One? I've never tested that load order, might cause problems.

I was able to upgrade just fine, not sure why you'd be having an issue. Played 20 turns yesterday, as Louen, and got to tier 3 without any issue.

Only problem I have with the All-In-One is the number of units with overlapping roles and the stat disparity.

It seems like in the GoB mod, the Smithy starts at level 1 and progresses to level 4. With the submod + lily it starts at level 2 and progresses to 4, but it won't let you upgrade it to 3 before going to 4.

Is it letting you upgrade the Smithy to tier 3? I can make the tier 2 smithy, but when I try to upgrade, it says "you must construct the prior building first"

Just tested, seems to work fine with the all-in-one. Fully loaded in to a Louen campaign without issue. Played a few turns, everything seems to work fine.

Either the issue was mismatched DB table names and Lily changed them to match at some point or it was user error by the reporters.

TL;DR Works with the All-In-One, load the submod before GoB and Lily's stuff

Can confirm having installed every individual one of Lily's mods included in the all-in-one it works fine. I saw comments saying the all-in-one mod itself breaks things though, so I haven't tried it.

Don't think it works with the all-in-one, never tried, but it's been reported as not working with the all-in-one.

I may or may not take a look at the all-in-one at some point, but for now, I use this submod with a number of Lily's mods and it works fine. Probably works fine for most of Lily's mods as long as it's loaded before all of them, in case any of them touch the Smithy chain.

Yeah my bad! I misremembered terrible. It was the +2 armor factionwide. Maybe at one point it was peasants only and got changed, not sure.

Long story short, I didn't find an effect in the definitive edition of the overhaul that specifically targeted peasants, but I added a +2 to armor (Factionwide). Also re-added all the other smithy effects.

It should be a 60 second tweak. I'll take a quick look, since it sounds like a nice effect to have.

Would it be possible to add the +1% armor to peasant units (factionwide) trait that Lily's smithies add to the buildings in the chain?

I see. I tried it out with Lily's All in One Overhaul, Blessed Bertonnia and Guns of Bretonnia (Only mods that I think touch the Smithy, although I did have other mods.) and I still had a broken Smithy chain.
I could build the level 1 smithy, but level 2 told me I needed to build a "previous" building in the chain (Even though I was trying to upgrade from level 1 to 2.)
So maybe this doesn't work with the All in One of Lily's mod or Blessed Bretonnia isn't compatible.

I was able to launch the game and start a campaign fine with just Lily's, Guns of Bretonnia and my submod.

The load order I used was;
1. Submod
2. Guns of Bretonnia
3. Lily's Overhaul

Guns of Bretonnia has custom Smithy buildings. Lily's Overhaul breaks the Smithy chain if both mods are used together and you won't be able to upgrade the Smithy properly.

Just to clarify, what is the result if you don't use this patch? You can't make Guns of Bretonnia units?

rip, game is not launching when this mod is loaded over the other 2. when its loaded under it does launch but does not work in campaign

Should work for any version, since all versions likely use the same name/smithy entries.

If it doesn't, though, drop a link to the version it doesn't work for below and I'll look in to it.
