To clarify, this mod does work alongside vanilla clients, but just acts normal if the other player in a fight does not also have the mod.

It allows you in singleplayer, Co-Op, and Online Fights(Where the other person also has the mod) to control what actions an A.I. ally(Via Fission Power, Call for Help, etc) takes.
