Simple and effective plumbing. The only thing that is missing, ability to hook the sink to the clean well. Use a sort of water pump, maybe?
dragonsphotoworks 8 Apr @ 12:18am
Came for the mod.. stayed for the "commercials" lol
JuryOfYourFears [author] 5 Apr @ 8:37pm
Sweet! Np :) Have fun!
Ryan 5 Apr @ 8:34pm
yeah it's working now. Thanks for fixing it.
JuryOfYourFears [author] 5 Apr @ 8:02pm
Okay, I changed the location of some files to emulate what other authors have done. Let me know if that works please.
Ryan 5 Apr @ 7:25pm
just to be sure I unsubbed all the mods. did a verify and reinstalled only this mod it still doesn't show up.
JuryOfYourFears [author] 5 Apr @ 5:49pm
I can't see why it would be the problem, but stranger things have happened lol.

Can you tell me a few mods that are working for you? I'll compare them to mine and see if there's some miniscule difference that I'm overlooking.
Ryan 5 Apr @ 3:22pm
yeah did everything it just doesn't show up. I'm playing on linux could that be an issue?
JuryOfYourFears [author] 5 Apr @ 2:08pm
So, as far as I can tell, it may just be Steam being stupid? There's scattered reports of random mods not showing up, and that seems to be the problem more often than not. I can't replicate the problem on my machine, so I'm thinking that may be the case.

You might try checking your mod folder and seeing if it's been downloaded. If you don't know where it is, you can search for '108600' in file explorer and it should show up. Then make sure '3386961288' (my mod) is in there.

If it's not, you might try unsubbing, exiting steam, then restarting and resubbing. Some people reported success with verifying the game's files, but be aware that if you do that and you're using any mods that required manual installation, you'll need to reinstall them or backup/restore the 'zombie' folder.

No worries. Hope you're well. take your time. I'm just getting mods sorted for new server. I haven't started yet.
JuryOfYourFears [author] 5 Apr @ 11:09am
@Ryan I'm recoving from a minor surgery, but I'll get it updated as soon as I can. Probably sometime this afternoon, hopefully. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Ryan 5 Apr @ 7:17am
@JuryOfYourFears it's not showing up in mod menu for 42.6
JuryOfYourFears [author] 19 Feb @ 5:41am
@Slobodskoy Thank you! I love your language, but I'm hopelessly American haha
Slobodskoy 19 Feb @ 5:33am
@JuryOfYourFears, in Tooltip_RU.txt string
Tooltip_PHOffDesc = "Отключите Помощник сантехника, чтобы избежать загромождения контекста.

Можно повторно активировать, щелкнув правой кнопкой мыши по газовому ключу."
JuryOfYourFears [author] 19 Feb @ 5:10am
@Slobodskoy Pushing an update momentarily. Hadn't realized they switched the encoding, thanks. I just used google translate for the new lines, so if it could be improved, I'd appreciate input.

@kannonlazono Rain collectors only work for the floor below them in vanilla. There were mods for different plumbing methods in 41, but I'm terribly out of the loop for 42, sorry.

@megahero60 I'd really love to see an overhaul of the system, but that's outside of my skillset atm.
Slobodskoy 19 Feb @ 4:13am
Please upd RU translation encoding to UTF-8
kannonlozano 18 Feb @ 9:23am
Can i plumb my sink if i have a 2 story building?
megahero60 14 Feb @ 12:50pm
awsome...anyway of increasing this to act like generators for water or is that a bit of a pipe dream to have in feed to facets in a set large area
Tarrax Ironwolf 12 Feb @ 3:54pm
Awesome! Much rejoicing. Thanks Jury!
JuryOfYourFears [author] 12 Feb @ 3:12am
Oh, beautiful! Thanks, KaliLynx! I'll make a note of that in the description :)
Bananaut 12 Feb @ 2:20am
thanks for the update! here's simple fix for wall showers and urinals: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3425935153
JuryOfYourFears [author] 11 Feb @ 2:57pm
Updated to remove tooltip explaining plumbing not working. Big thanks to SkyBlue for the workaround.

Everything seems to be working great now.
NOTE: Wall Showers and Urinals are not able to be plumbed (vanilla issue). Consequently, my mod does not detect them (only detects fixtures that can be plumbed).
JuryOfYourFears [author] 11 Feb @ 12:23pm
@KaliLynx Awesome! I'll push an update as soon as I can. Thanks for letting me know!
Bananaut 11 Feb @ 10:44am
plumbing is fixed now
Tarrax Ironwolf 10 Feb @ 5:42am
@JuryOfYourFears, No worries! Thanks for quick response. Looking forward to your Stable update.
JuryOfYourFears [author] 9 Feb @ 8:54pm
@Tarrax Thanks! I've been waiting for 42 stable to start playing again, so I'm not gonna be much help atm, sorry.

@Zaliron I can look into that when I get back into playong/modding :)

@Rising Dawn lol ty ty
Tarrax Ironwolf 9 Feb @ 7:16pm
First off let me say, I've been using your mod since you first released it and it is a godsend. I'm using the Skyblue add-on, but I am not seeing the option to plumb to water barrel to the sink below. Unfortunately Skyblue doesn't have comments/discussions available to ask them what to do in this situation. Is it only possible once the city water is no longer accessible?
Zaliron 26 Jan @ 5:38pm
Would it be possible to check for a roof as well? I've been bamboozled by setting up barrels on what I thought was the rooftop only to realize there was a slanted house roof piece hidden from view.
Rising Dawn 12 Jan @ 8:32pm
The video is so good lol
JuryOfYourFears [author] 12 Jan @ 8:08am
@Linben @Alpha Gamer

Plumbing doesn't work in 42 just yet. Please read the beginning of the description for more info/workarounds :)
Alpha Gamer 12 Jan @ 7:55am
im not getting this to work, i have placed a barrel outside above my sinks but it doesnt seem to recognise them
Linben 11 Jan @ 11:23pm
hello author, playing on B42 here... i can't seem to plumb my indoor kitchen sink to a rain collector barrel above... I have relocated the barrels and even constructed the smaller crate-type collectors, but still can't plumb em... would appreciate your assist, thanks!
JuryOfYourFears [author] 2 Jan @ 9:04pm
@John DeWolf Indeed, your current interpretation is correct (pedantic note: with the minor exception that you can place a sink in an existing interior and plumb it to the public water supply).

I initially just updated because I was asked to, but in the process, I obviously realized that plumbing wasn't functioning yet. So I figured I'd just leave it up, and use it as a PSA for plumbing being broken in the meantime.
John DeWolf 2 Jan @ 8:21pm
So if I am reading and understanding the situation right now its that without mods even this one there is NO plumbing in build 42 atm period, and all this mod does is essentialy give a visual tool for positioning water source and water user. Is my current interpretation correct?
JuryOfYourFears [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 9:47am
No worries, chef! I suspected that was the case lol
chef 28 Dec, 2024 @ 9:19am
Yeah apologies I worded it wrong, I meant the plumbing issues not this mod! Loved it in b41, was responding to somebody else’s comment and didn’t realise it doesn’t show who I’m responding to
fester_21 27 Dec, 2024 @ 3:16pm
@redacted, ublock origin is amazing, but i use it on edge in tandem tampermonkey, i didnt realize it worked on firefox so i might make the switch. @juryOfYourFears, AMAZING MOD, also, love the ad description
Redacted 27 Dec, 2024 @ 11:43am
How to avoid (all) ads (and trackers) (since idk 2010 or so) = Use firefox (or Librewolf/Tor), download the following extensions: Privacy Badger + Ublock Origin + PopUp Off.
Haven't seen an ad, besides the sponsored content creators put in videos (which is basically unavoidable). Not a slight hint of annoyance either. It's been great, especially the part where I haven't watched cable tv for over 15 years and not regretted it a moment :)
JuryOfYourFears [author] 27 Dec, 2024 @ 11:05am
@Redacted lol felt that in my bones. I do everything in my power to avoid ads these days, but I watched a ton of old info-mercials to prep, and a lot of them were actually pretty entertaining. Hard to say how much of that was nostalgia though heh

@Deon Thank you btw. I wasn't sure if players were actually pointing the finger at me or just venting their frustrations about the state of the unstable build tbh lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Redacted 27 Dec, 2024 @ 9:25am
Ngl. PZ Modding community is #1. I hate commercials, yet, here I go, watching two voluntarily. Life truly was better pre-millenium.
JuryOfYourFears [author] 26 Dec, 2024 @ 6:59pm
Oh, awesome! I thought about trying to do that, but I didn't have the time. I'll push an update.
MisterDuke222 26 Dec, 2024 @ 12:24pm
Another modder released an update that adds plumb-able B41 style rain barrels
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3392186516&searchtext=

Was able to use this mod to find the right spot to place the old-school barrels and plumb them with no issues
Deon ☣ 26 Dec, 2024 @ 2:51am
To the recent posters, "this" didn't ruin anything. B42 did, and you need to wait for official patch.
chef 24 Dec, 2024 @ 1:19pm
well this has completely ruined my wilderness run, does anyone know how to actually use the water purification tablets? ive tried everything but cant seem to get them working
abrilerman 24 Dec, 2024 @ 10:13am
Dude, I knew this had to be disabled, cause I just kinda ruined my first save trying to plumb the damn sink. Thanks a lot my guy.
Dark Sauce 24 Dec, 2024 @ 8:13am
ah makes perfect sense, it was too simple. We will all get used to purifying water in the meantime, probably as they intended. I can see plumbing being an end-game luxury in vanilla
Hypnotwist 23 Dec, 2024 @ 10:29pm
@Dark Sauce they are planning to overhaul plumbing
Dark Sauce 23 Dec, 2024 @ 2:42pm
i'm starting to wonder if they will simply re-enable plumbing, or if there will be another system entirely for plumbing going forward...
