ched salvia 7 Jun @ 10:05am
so... are batteries / propane tanks still bugged in vanilla b42?
Does it work in B41?
Malu 28 May @ 8:50am
idk what's going on but the battery never drains from my flashlight
Reaper 7 May @ 2:45pm
cant seem to find it in sandbox settings. mod is loaded but not showing up in the sandbox settings.
Matty 2 May @ 11:24pm
love the mod, does it work for furniture/place-able lights that you can put a battery connector on and put them in?
Higgins 20 Apr @ 11:11am
Exactly was i i was looking for. Thanks for this little gem of a mod!
Lithographer 21 Mar @ 10:57am
yess this also needs the mask filter multiplier asap :pillow::bleach::spiffo:
poopsock 20 Mar @ 8:56pm
I havent seen a mod that does this yet, or at least i cant find it, but could you add a filter life multiplier mod? I hate how gas mask filters last only like 1 hour in game.

Is there anything I am missing? I have it all activated but that extra window in the Sandbox options for the Server doesn't show a section for Extended Battery Life

@Zara It was fixed in 42.1 now but your comment is helpful to me. Thank you!
There's no issue now
Zara ♡ 18 Jan @ 10:59am
@Tori You have to get a mod that fixes that. I think that is a B42 issue itself because I was having that problem BEFORE I installed this mod, so I think that's the case. There is a mod to fix it though!

Ayy Its gamerpoets! Im subbed to him lol

Thank you for this! I have the mod that fixes batteries from draining completely after reloading the game; Then I noticed they go out quickly! I don't remember them going out that fast in B41. So thank you for this! Its like the devs tried to make things toooo "realistic" that they instead made things unnecessarily tedious and unrealistic lol
gamerpoets 9 Jan @ 11:28am
I love that you added the ability for us to customize it. I can now host for my friends while they complain that my settings are too low for them lol = ) Thanks for your work. I put it in a video that I just made. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBm6fo0EkDI

Every time I load the game the flashlight battery multiplier is reset to default.
Can you check it?
I'm changing the batteries every time I launch the game now.
cherry-wave 5 Jan @ 12:43am
Can you do something like that for propane tanks too? 😩
9Three 4 Jan @ 5:51pm
hi, why do batteries go dead after 3 days when out of a box, batteries last for YEARS when factory charged. thanks for the mod. what is a realistic setting for batteries?
Papachristos  [author] 4 Jan @ 11:03am
@scrappy coco thanks for your input! This mod aims to allow setting a multiplier for the drain rate of batteries and to be as compatible with future vanilla items as well as anything added by mods. The other battery mods on the Workshop (the one you linked) overrides the vanilla items which is what I wanted to avoid.
Papachristos  [author] 2 Jan @ 9:38pm
Ah sorry, 0.0 is not actually infinite, @Charon Rick is right. Try setting it to 0.001 or something small like that until I update the mod.
Welch's Grape Ghost 2 Jan @ 12:07pm
@Charon Rick its a bug in42
Vr3ckovka 1 Jan @ 6:44am
@Papachristos many thanks !
Charon Rick 1 Jan @ 6:43am
Hello. I’m not sure my problem is linked to your mod but since the installation and change made to 0 to make the batteries infinite, all the batteries I find are empty.
And, best wishes for this brand new year :spiffo:
Papachristos  [author] 31 Dec, 2024 @ 5:46pm
@Vr3ckovka Sure! It's updated now to allow for 0.0
Vr3ckovka 31 Dec, 2024 @ 10:45am
can you do min value 0? Now it's 0.1, but I would like to have it 0, so I don't need to switch batteries and have them unlimited
Lambda-LRI-I 27 Dec, 2024 @ 8:52pm
Inexplicably dead battery seems to be the problem of the game itself, my battery and the car battery always inexplicably only have a little power left
Nepenthe 26 Dec, 2024 @ 5:24pm
I'd be hesitant to install java mods into an an unstable release - feels like a high chance of problems when the game updates, especially one that is making changes to a fundamental piece of the game (InventoryItem) in ways that require being active when the world is created, presumably because they are changing things on initial generation.
Papachristos  [author] 26 Dec, 2024 @ 6:47am
Yeah, as someone else mentioned before, these bugs are in the vanilla game and are unrelated to this mod :(
quevedotron 26 Dec, 2024 @ 5:45am
I have the same bug, all batteries goes to 10% without using them
Serg 26 Dec, 2024 @ 3:02am
Theres a known bug where every time you load the game, batteries that you have on you or are storing go to about 10%. Also car batteries seem to be draining as well. And theres an issue with propane where every time you load the game all of your tanks lose about 10%. Eventually, after loading the game enough times all your propane will be gone. Seems to only effect batteries and tanks near you (the city you are in) not the whole world.
Nepenthe 23 Dec, 2024 @ 10:59pm
@F1tgal911 I've had the same issue without any battery affecting mods; seems to be a B42 issue.

For now I'm just using debug mode to magically recharge my batteries/devices when needed.
godbae 23 Dec, 2024 @ 5:33pm
@Papachristos, after some testing I don't think it's related either. I disabled and deleted the mod and the bug was still happening. So far I've noticed it's only been happening to batteries that are unpacked from a box of batteries and batteries that I spawned in to test. I can't conclusively say that it only affects those types of batteries but it was the easiest way to get the bug to happen. Single batteries that I've found in random containers and from inside electronics don't seem to randomly discharge.
Papachristos  [author] 23 Dec, 2024 @ 4:31pm
I don't think it's related to this mod, need to do some more testing but all that this does is slow down the drain rate of the flashlights themselves (or any item that takes batteries, but in vanilla that's only the flashlights for now)
godbae 23 Dec, 2024 @ 3:04pm
@F1tgal911, I've also had the same bug. I had a dozen batteries sitting on a shelf in my base that all immediately discharged to around 10% capacity. It also affected batteries that were in flashlights.
F1tgal911 23 Dec, 2024 @ 10:41am
There seems to be a bug ingame B42 where batteries (car and AA) discharge when kept in the base or near it. Anyone else?
R o c k y J e t 22 Dec, 2024 @ 4:00pm
Thank you!
Vyndakator 22 Dec, 2024 @ 9:40am
Yeah, seems to be fine now! Will let you know if anything else pops up
Papachristos  [author] 21 Dec, 2024 @ 1:03pm
@Sovey Yeah I agree, it's a shame they didn't add a multiplier for this in the sandbox options.
Sovey 21 Dec, 2024 @ 12:06pm
Must have mod. With heavy-duty (yellow) flashligh the entire battery is depleted in 10 real time minutes (2 in game hours with 2-hour long days). Complete nonsense, 0.2 multiplier or lower is actually logical, but they should fix batteries life in base game too. No one cared before, because flashlight were useless. Now they are important.
F1tgal911 21 Dec, 2024 @ 6:48am
Now it works!! TY!
Papachristos  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 2:36pm
@F1tgal911 are you sure the mod is enabled and also activated for the current save (if you have one)?
F1tgal911 20 Dec, 2024 @ 2:27pm
I don't have your option in my sandbox settings.
Papachristos  [author] 19 Dec, 2024 @ 4:33pm
@Vyndakator Please try it again, the mod has been updated.
Vyndakator 19 Dec, 2024 @ 4:14pm
I get an error with this every time I kill a zombie.
