Thanks @PvtRoycewicz 😜
I tried 6, 7, 8 and 9 render distance but it seems that specially driving it takes longer to load the chunks, any idea why?
1. Open the terminal
2. cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/108600
3. find . -type d -name "Every Texture Optimized - FPS mode"
This way you find the folder you are looking for easily
playing with 1x1 doesn't makes much sense at the first place
i recommend at least 7x7 (preset 7 or above)

Enabling it on the in-game mod manager panel will do nothing, as the game has no official java modding support at this moment

it is always better to backup files before installing new versions of them
Open 2 windows in Finder.
WINDOW 1 (Game files)
- In the menu bar: Go > Go to Folder
- Input the following: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam
> steamapps > common > ProjectZomboid > right click, show package contents > Contents > Java > zombie > iso
WINDOW 2 (Mod Files)
- In the menu bar: Go > Go to Folder
- Input the following: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam
> steamapps > workshop > content > 108600 > 3387705007 > mods > [B42] BetterFPS > 42
You will then see folders 1-13, with 13 being default render distance. Choose a render distance folder, then go: zombie > iso
Take the IsoChunkMap.class and replace it with the IsoChunkMap.class from Window 1 (Game files). Enjoy!
Awesome mod kokomii, thank you for this :)
