I have a question. Do The Yeehaw Outlaws get these if I add this in? I'm trying to find a mod from your list to change their crossbows to something more lethal since I also fit some Star Wars mods in my current run

In that regard, yes. Changes very little of the basegame - one has to go out of their way to obtain the blueprints and weapons.

Is this the best gun mod there is for Kenshi, for players looking to keep things as vanilla as they can? It seems like it is.

Just as the founding fathers intended

Expecting sounds to fall from the sky aint happening.
There's quite a lot of nice gun mods that are vanilla based, and haven't gotten them when the chance presented itself.

Eh, I'm sure someone else will make a mod to make firearm sounds for this one much like the Shoddy Firearms.

I don't use RE_Kenshi or mod for it, due to it being a Nexus item.
I try to keep everything simple and on the Steam platform.

Have you considered adding sound to the musket? Kinda how Kathun has blasters make sounds, I believe its possible through RE_Kenshi idk though, either way love it

If you haven't been to the Ashlands, you shouldn't need to.
If you have, you should import.
DevilDog 9 Jan @ 5:31pm
Do we have any need for importing save?

I pull up to the Holy Lord Phoenix like its 1860. :beeped:

can you add a patch to make other nations uses guns. maybe in UC. but the one who carry those are higher lvl generals or captains. and if you try to loot them. your ammos are limited because they won't sell ammunition and guns, because it is only for officials. Maybe if carrying a gun also considered as an illegal item like drugs. cuz it means u killed a high rankings enforcers.

Simply put, lighter-weight and more simplified meshes.
Mine's a more high performance option if you want to really go all out on guns.

It's not the prettiest gun mod, but I feel mine has a good balance of performance, practicality, production, and balance. I tried to focus on more realistic values for reloading, damage, etc.

What does this offer over shoddy firearms

And yes, Ash Dome V is the only place to get the blueprint.
Schizophrenic Cat-Lon  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 11:09pm
There is only one NPC that spawns with the weapon, unless you yourself choose one of the custom starts that gives you one.

The musket is the weapon owned by the Weapons Foreman in Ash Dome V, and he's got the only musket left. It's a masterwork, though. The blueprint is necessary for more muskets, since adding any more enemies with them would simply be WAY too overpowered. The dome has a ton of ammo and parts to craft more, though.
Abajur220V 20 Dec, 2024 @ 6:32pm
and are there any npcs that spawn with these or only the player can get it
Abajur220V 20 Dec, 2024 @ 6:30pm
the blueprint is only obtainable on the ashdome V?
ZagradOtryad 20 Dec, 2024 @ 1:40pm
Great, I already have a mod for firearms, it's the same there. )
Schizophrenic Cat-Lon  [author] 20 Dec, 2024 @ 1:31pm
barely, it travels too quickly to see 99% of the time. You'd need the perfect pause.
ZagradOtryad 20 Dec, 2024 @ 1:03pm
Is the bullet even visible in flight?

About the long reloading of muskets.
In the 18th century, the British were famous for training soldiers to reload their weapons fairly quickly. Compared to other armies.
In the 19th century, the British were surprised by either the Polynesians or the Papuans to reload their guns in a very original way.
Slow reloading is typical for wick arquebuses and early muskets.
And you have silicon rifles and pistols here, with ready-made paper cartridges.
But even in the 17th century there were weapons with a wheeled mechanism.
The report is finished. ))
