plus, the smaller ones are going to be kept anyways, so it isn't going to be a issue
You might consider keeping a copy of the original small grid blocks as their original size for some "detail blocks", like SE2 has.

don't tell a modder to delete smth WIP just because it isn't finished, that's literally what WIP means
there are still bugs for him to iron out, just wait for them rather then yelling at a modder trying to fix the bugs
this mod was glitched in the past which removed LG completely, basically what your asking is to undo that patch lol
just wanted to tell you this for fun, hopefully you'll get the go-ahead for what you plan to do
meaning like the default little rovers that SE has made, If trying to fix the wheels, they will not work as default. sizes. or wheels.
if you lose a wheel with the default sized small grid wheel block, you cant fix (weld or attach a new wheel) or grind off, the block and trying to just add a new one "same size" they dont exist saddly.
not sure if this is a bug with the mod or if im missing something when wanting to use the default sized wheels and hubs!
if your trying to put small grid on large grid, other way around lol
nothing he can do unless he's willing to crack open the block spawning restrictions
maybe make a keybind that you can press to toggle the large block snap size, from the small grid to large grid snap
