Add Wargoals During Wars

this adds way too much infamy, is there a version where it doesn't do that? As America it took me 48 infamy to add return state mexican texas

I'd love to see an option (perhapsa via game rule?) where we can tweak the amount of infamy gained by adding wargoals. Currently they are far too high in my opinion which makes them almost unusable.

@humberto.quijano Thank you for bringing this to my attention
humberto.quijano 28 Jun @ 4:30pm
It seems that with 1.9 the "is_target_of_wargoal" trigger is not longer working as it should.
As consequence, if you use for example add the conquer state war goal, the list of states still show the ones that you already have in your war list. So potentially you could have duplicate goals. For humans is easy to not make a mistake, but the AI usually choose to conquer the same state every single time.
burgburg 28 Jun @ 6:40am
is there a way to set a gamerule for the amount of infamy gained
mat_777 25 Jun @ 9:38am

Updated to 1.9. War reparations, liberate & transfer subject have been removed temporarily until a solution can be found.

thanks

@mat_777 soon
mat_777 20 Jun @ 4:12pm
update please
bamcat  [author] 7 Jun @ 1:32pm
@DrUltraLux I probably wont be able to fix the mod until after 1.9
DrUltraLux 25 Apr @ 11:27am
Adding wargoals doesn't work anymore, they appear for a split second in the war summary, and then immediately vanish.
Sometimes the AE cost is also being doubled.
humberto.quijano 18 Apr @ 12:37am
There is a problem with liberate subject, the end result is that you as a holder create a war goal to liberate the subject and the stakeholder is also the subject instead of their overlord, which causes the wargoal to be marked as invalid. I think the add_war_goal scripped effect is missing a parameter, to make it clear their overlord is the one liberating them instead of themselves.

Can I achieve my goal of reducing myself in the war? The Allies achieved their objectives and the enemy agreed to defeat, but the Allies felt that I could achieve all of them, leading to months of pointless war

Hello! I translated your mod into Korean. Thank you for creating the mod.

Sometimes when I add wargoals in mp the wargoals aren't added. Any thoughts as to why?
bamcat  [author] 27 Mar @ 5:41pm
@KushGene Nice work, I've added it to the description
KushGene 26 Mar @ 2:32pm
Hey bamcat, thanks for creating this mod. I created german translation localization for this mod, feel free to add it to the translation list.

Could you add icons? Even some vanilla icons from gfx\interface\icons\lens_toolbar_icons would be very nice. Thanks for the nice mod!
Tenrukou 19 Mar @ 5:42am
This mod has a textual bug, it does not compromise its use in the game, but it does hinder gameplay
Šupiluliuma 15 Mar @ 5:48pm
You completely misunderstood the situation, I wasn't trying to make fun of them at all. Maybe don't have such a negative presumption on everyone in life.
mlpfeffer 9 Mar @ 5:36pm
Hey @Šupiluliuma, making fun of what is almost certainly a young Chinese kid about housing prices being low may not be the own you think it is.
The Skink 5 Mar @ 10:46am
@Šupiluliuma china is collapsing any day now, its just right around the corner. :steammocking:
Šupiluliuma 4 Mar @ 5:36am
@七墓凉 Have you tried restarting the Chinese housing market? :D
RouteVenus 25 Feb @ 5:34pm
@theblitz6794 just dont negotiate with those wargoals...?
theblitz6794 17 Feb @ 8:22pm
Can you allow removing wargoals as well? It's very easy to get stuck in a stalemate
七墓凉 15 Feb @ 2:56am
I added your mod and Chinese mod for milk, but there is no Chinese.
Pastafarian 6 Feb @ 5:16pm
Only incorporated states can be demanded as war goals?
bamcat  [author] 26 Jan @ 8:48am
@KushGene Just share the link in the comments and I'll add it to the description
KushGene 26 Jan @ 8:21am
I did german translation. Where I can share it?
BeheadThoseWhoInsultKane 15 Jan @ 6:54am
Revolts messing really hard with CBs are vanilla problem
diecicatorce 15 Jan @ 5:53am
I wish this was infamy free because sometimes I demand releasing a country but then right as they're going to capitulate, they get a revolt that removes the wargoal. Happened 3 times with Russia and Kazakhstan
Makaramus 14 Jan @ 12:43pm
I got a question for you: can you REMOVE war goals too? Do you think its achiveable and can AI use it? So you can make demands and you can abandon ones you fail to achive?
leeuwenhart08 13 Jan @ 2:03am
can this be added mid-game?
BeheadThoseWhoInsultKane 7 Jan @ 2:47am
Currently war goal spam is kept to a minimum by AI
BeheadThoseWhoInsultKane 5 Jan @ 9:03pm
Thank you mate!
MasterOfGrey 5 Jan @ 6:25pm
Thank you, I'll give it a whirl!

AI should now only add wargoals they *need*

@BeheadThoseWhoInsultKane

working on a fix right now
MasterOfGrey 4 Jan @ 10:02pm
Needs something to prevent subjects from adding war reps as a goal on countries they can't personally overpower. I'm seeing forever wars between UK and Russia
zzzptm 4 Jan @ 1:44pm
Liking the idea, finding the infamy hits to be too high for me to want to use... and the AI goes nuts adding goals to remove slavery in my nation, even when I don't have slavery to begin with.
NMA-995 4 Jan @ 1:25pm
When a subject adds a wargoal, it's considered a "primary" goal for its suzerain for some weird reason, and when the AI leader completes its actual primary wargoal, it begins to consider the wargoal of the puppet its primary objective
NMA-995 4 Jan @ 1:20pm
Protectorates and puppets really shouldn't be able to add wargoals against the other side's war leader, because it breaks the AI in some cases, especially with mods tweaking AI wartime behaviour.
British Siam really wants to see regime change in France, so billions must die
BeheadThoseWhoInsultKane 2 Jan @ 9:57pm
Using this with "allow AI to use it as well" and they just accrue infamy with useless CBs. Especially when protectorates and puppets add their useless CBs in and you have to, as previously mentioned, fight to the death with France or GB.
candles 31 Dec, 2024 @ 4:25pm
@MasterOfGrey

In my experience the AI is almost constantly using it. It's nice to see them actually accrue infamy, but it can also make wars a lot longer, such as if you previously just needed to sit on some distant colony, but now have to invade Ile-de-France or Home Territories to tick down war score.
burgburg 31 Dec, 2024 @ 3:09pm
is it possible to make a setting that turns the infamy gained down to the normal amounts
Adil3tr 31 Dec, 2024 @ 1:41pm
Can it be triggered by casualty count?
zascat 31 Dec, 2024 @ 10:05am
i got smileys in place of icons? Can't find a remedy...
MasterOfGrey 30 Dec, 2024 @ 3:24pm
This makes sense as a response to overlords violating sovereignty and dragging other subjects or countries into a war after the diplo play has ended.

How well does the AI use this though? I’d had for the player to be using it all the time while the AI only does it once or twice ever, and I’d hate for the AI to turn wars it was winning into losses or stalemates by adding war reps on countries it cannot reach the capital of.
FantasticKru 30 Dec, 2024 @ 11:29am
HOW IS THIS NOT BASEGAME? like seriously, who made the design choice at paradox to have wargoals only on start of war? most wars including ww1 had their wargoals added/changed mid or at the end of the war...
