This mod throws errors when unbarricading doors/windows.
YYY 29 Jun @ 9:36am
También se podría agregar está mecánica al romper piedras grandes.
KuroCiel 27 Jun @ 8:40am
It's a bit buggy.

Welp, after some testing I find the mod creates an entirely new problem: ghost wood. I'm guessing the mod creates and deletes duplicates in order to counteract the automatic pickup. I end up with logs that cannot be sawed or built with, rendering them useless. Planks don't actually move to the inventory at times and get stuck to the ground forever.

I thank you and appreciate the attempt to, as I said below, revert a bad change but this new issue, against all odds, is actually worse XD
Daynen Drakeson 9 Jun @ 10:37pm
Ah yes, a mod to revert a bad change back to far more desirable and sane behavior. Thank you, good sir.

dose this work in b41
Shuru12 13 May @ 5:53pm
El mod funciona mas o menos, a la hora de hacer tablones se guardan en el inventario pero si te mueves un poco, ahí si se mueven de inmediato al suelo.

creating a four log stack also placed it in the main inventory. doesn't seem to work anymore

Just saw a log and got 3 planks into my main inventory. mod is active under load game. Are you sure this is still working atm?
cainaazevedoO 23 Mar @ 10:47am
hi, sometimes when I saw a bunch of logs some weird things happens. Like some planks on the ground becoming non-interactable, and stay there (I think until I restart the game)
Amroth 15 Mar @ 5:05am
Broken in the latest version, the first item gets added to main inventory.

For example: When unstacking 4 stacks of logs, first stack is put in main inventory, while the other 3 are dropped on the ground (as they all should be)

42.4 added firewood to the game, which gets put in inventory after chopping (and is heavy). Would love it if you included it here <3

This feature used to be vanilla, and needs to return to vanilla. I don't know wtf the devs were thinking when they decided that the planks are kept in the inventory.

I'm using B42.3.1, and it's absolutely working. It's also very much needed. Incredible, underrated QoL mod.

Not sure what the guys below are smoking.
Eligoth 15 Feb @ 3:45pm
It's not working as B42.3.1
:(
Rachel L 3 Feb @ 8:56pm
Right, but is the mod broken or not then?
John 3 Feb @ 8:06pm
@Rachel L, that just means that you don't need to pick it up to perform the recipe, the output still goes into your inventory
Rachel L 3 Feb @ 12:39pm
@Nautix, this mod shouldnt bee needed anymore.
NauTiX 3 Feb @ 11:05am
Doesnt work for me on B 42.2.0. I also have better log sawing which recommends this mod. That mod works but planks still get put into my inventory... Also something broke because now all weight i put in backpack gets added to my normal carry weight :(
stevej018 22 Jan @ 6:27pm
what about tires? I want to drop it when I uninstall it.
Rachel L 21 Jan @ 6:00pm
It seems that this mod is not needed anymore with the b42.1 update
*"Added the CanBeDoneFromFloor tag to several craftRecipe with heavy ingredients, such as logs are large stones."*
bubby_pz33 18 Jan @ 7:32am
Tyvm for making this. I linked it in my log sawing mod for people to use.

Thank you Rodjir! With build 42 having so much to explore, having a few things to help with that experience is always nice!
WhisperedLullaby  [author] 14 Jan @ 6:54pm
@postullio no restart needed! It doesn't impact saves and will just update the recipes. you're good to go! if you don't know how to add the mod to a save, when you hit load, you can see/update the modlist. there should be a button you can click. scroll down to this mod and check it!
Rodjir 14 Jan @ 10:03am
this is a great mod idea i prefer mods like this to the biggest most expansive content mods just a simple qol idea that makes an already beloved game so much more enjoyable. I always feel like my character is going to have a bad back because he just can't stop carrying crap that he crafts that is too heavy for him. thank you friend and stay safe in the apocalypse
postullio 10 Jan @ 11:53pm
Do I need to create a new game for this mod to take effect?

I really don't want to abandon this save file ... things are going so well ...

I added this mod in the opening menu, restarted the game, loaded my game, sawed a log from the crafting menu, and the planks went into my inventory.

How do I implement this mod without starting a new game?
Rachel L 8 Jan @ 9:05am
ah ok. Didnt knew that info. Thanks for letting me know. Will try it later
WhisperedLullaby  [author] 8 Jan @ 8:31am
@Rachel L Whenever you craft from the right click menu the game assumes you want to pick it up. It becomes a "inhandcraft". But if you do it from the crafting menu you perform the action on the ground. For whatever reason in vanilla, it then puts the resulting item (planks in your case) in the inventory. This mod ensures that when you craft these items on the ground, they stand on the ground. I feel like I want to keep the option of "inhand" crafting. try seeing if you're ok with crafting from the crafting menu. Maybe in the future I'll put a sandbox option to make the right click items not pick up the item. But I will say that that would change a core element of making items. <3
Rachel L 7 Jan @ 4:37pm
are the crafted items supposed to be picked and then dropped when crafted? If yes, would it possible, at least for logs, to keep them always on the ground?
WhisperedLullaby  [author] 3 Jan @ 1:35pm
@Peizar Gracias!
Vunfo 3 Jan @ 1:53am
Un mod increíble. Gracias!
WhisperedLullaby  [author] 28 Dec, 2024 @ 3:02pm
@todokuro whenever you right click it becomes an "inhand recipe". Which would take the control of whether or not you want to craft on the ground, or pick it up. I can think about it, but it might go against what the mod really wants to do. Especially as new crafts are added.
todokuro 28 Dec, 2024 @ 2:02am
Great mod!
It works fine when I use the crafting window!
But when I right click on a log in my inventory and do something with it, it seems to take the log with me. Is there a way to fix that?
UndyingTyrant 27 Dec, 2024 @ 1:58pm
bro thank you
making this mod is great because is so booring to have to take all logs out of inventary
CozyCouch 26 Dec, 2024 @ 11:31pm
Nice! thank you very much! you're the best!
WhisperedLullaby  [author] 25 Dec, 2024 @ 8:31pm
Exactly. And honestly, looking at the game code, I think it will be. But for now I reallly needed this mod. If you think of any more recipes that annoyingly go into your inventory, post them here and I can get them sorted.
Sahji 25 Dec, 2024 @ 10:35am
Oh wow! Now I won't have to force my character to sit on the ground, awkwardly equip a log, and then process it. Honestly, needed in vanilla.
WhisperedLullaby  [author] 25 Dec, 2024 @ 7:30am
@CozyCouch I got it working! Updated!
WhisperedLullaby  [author] 24 Dec, 2024 @ 4:56pm
@shemii Right, yes of course. Maybe I should have described it better. The goal is to have things you craft on the ground that is heavy to not go into the inventory.
Shemii 24 Dec, 2024 @ 12:03pm
you can craft form ground if your inventory is full in vanilla this mod just allows you to skip having to have full inv
Her Summon 24 Dec, 2024 @ 10:31am
I need this mod so much. I like to build my own home
CozyCouch 24 Dec, 2024 @ 9:28am
ill subscribe if the sawing plank from logs working :)
Loot Bukkake 24 Dec, 2024 @ 9:04am
@HideoKuze It literally says "B42" at the top of the page
HideoKuze 23 Dec, 2024 @ 5:55pm
does it support B42?
