Thank you for pointing that out, the good old "ah this is case sensitive oops" update will be pushed momentarily.

Some of the new ThoughtDefs aren't named what the RelationDefs expect. The god child, god parent, and sibling in arms defs, specifically.

just a suggestion/humble request :D

i started searching for a mod to add godmother/godfather or unofficial aunt/uncle kind of thing. While playing a gravship crew run, I found myself wishing for a role along those lines i mentioned. Imagine, you grow up on a ship battling and surviving with your parents and their crew, yet the tight-knit crew is only your acquaintance... that doesnt seem right! That's auntie Andromeda, not some stranger or mere friend! Chosen family is close to what I'm looking for and will certainly do in the meantime or if this suggestion falls flat.

Partner and brothers-in-arms as well.

There probably should be something closer to partners, or something like that. Like police officers working together, soldiers on deployment, emergency crews etc... have. More than friends, not exactly romantic based, mostly job-situation dependent and focused on past shared experiences, and can include more people than just 2. Maybe make them nullify the slighted negative opinion towards each other? It would be a nice addition to crashlanded starts for example, making your starting pawns in different scenarios have bonus opinion for those they "worked with" for a long time.

Perfect for immersion and role-play.
I'm surprised there's no colleague relation for pawns that work together but aren't higher or lower on the corporate totem pole. My pawn's water cooler chats will benefit greatly if you add it!

THANK YOU for this mod, it's so helpful to roleplay my current colony which has a lot of kids in it that got raised by teens - not quite adoptive relationships but still so uncomfortable to have them getting together lmao. Childhood friend is going to work great for a descriptor!

As-is, it will throw you an error saying the version number is incompatible, but it will most likely just work as it doesn't touch anything that would be affected by the 1.6 update.

I have an idea for a relationship mod. What about disliked relationships? like "enemy" or "disliked" or "cheated on" etc? i think that would add more variety to relationships :)

Please check out my other mod, Adoptive Relationships.
It works the same way this one does, so there isn't a mechanic to adopt, you'll still have to manually add the relationships with Character Editor.

hey do you have any interest in making it to where a child pawn can get adopted by an adult pawn i ask because i want to make a colony with a start as a run down orphanage with a matron who is basically immortal super mom adopter of smol (wholesomeness for the win)

You should see which mod it belongs to when you hover over it.

Found it, Vanilla Social Interactions Extended adds a Best Friend tag. It can be turned off too, so obviously no big game crashes possible.

@lydocia I think that maybe another mod (or even possibly in base game I don't know) has a "Best Friend" option already so two options are present to choose from with no real way of telling which is which. The only difference is that you can romance your best friend with the other option.
