The ADHD is in overdrive so I need to focus and finish 1 thing at a time O_O

No problem! I had this for myself but figured other people might enjoy it as well, so here we are! Good news too! I will be porting over a few enemy mods from vanilla xcom 2, with some added goodies :) (New AI, new active abilities and passives scaling with tier)

@Dęąth Viper Thanks for clearing up the LW perks modding. I look forwards to adding this into my next campaign!

@Dęąth Viper - To each their own. If you're customising it to your own taste, remember to list is as 'Death Viper's XYZ' rather than 'XYZ Redux' so people don't get confused.
Dęąth Viper  [ophavsmand] 1. jan. kl. 20:11
That all sounds really complicated lol... Ill just do a simple upload with a few bonus goodies on top of what kiruka has set up. And add proficiencies to them as well of course

@@Dęąth Viper - This has one built in (it's update is currently being uploaded). Stukov has one 'we think', built in across their curation, but we diverged as a fork a while back so would need to ask them directly.

If we remember rightly, most of what was done was literally just updating LWOTC terms and perks to their equivlants through INI editing, as Kiruka, - while not directly supporting non-LWOTC translation - has for a long time provided the AML O+E's team with periodic conversion support for the WOTC base.

If you get stuck give us a ping, as to be honest, the old version could use a 'redux' to bring it's old coding up to new practices alike Kiruka's, then just use curators ini's for shorthanding compatibility on that side.

Is there a none lwotc playable aliens bridge? For the made b kiruka
LeyShade 1. jan. kl. 17:12
@Dęąth Viper - if your planning on doing that, why not just lift from the bridges for LWOTC mods that already exist that curators make, unless you're planning on doing it by code.

Sure, take your time.
Dęąth Viper  [ophavsmand] 1. jan. kl. 7:39
I can but that is a LOT of work so it would be much later for the playable aliens variant

Thank you for this cool mod, any chance you can bring Expanded Playable Aliens - LWOTC in too? Or Playable XCOM 2 Aliens For LWOTC?
I mainly after Floater and Archon as they are quite unique.

It is a very cool enemy. Just a story from my campaigm:
I had Chryssalids on team Lost (thanks Reshi)

The Abjurer of Team Alien used hi mind controll undead ability on a cocoon ... and the spawning Chryssalids now were on team Alien instead of Lost. Hilarious

Is there a reason this mod (and some of your other mods) have the "Map" and the "Facility" tags?
I understand you want to make your mod more visible, but each tag has its own purpose.
Dęąth Viper  [ophavsmand] 31. dec. 2024 kl. 2:56
Yes, you can use the classes and perks version since they use the same ability template names
MalteseFalchion 31. dec. 2024 kl. 0:16
This looks like a cool enemy and a great mod. Though, I do want to ask if the parts that require the LW2 Classes Perk Pack would be equally filled by the LW2 Classes and Perks mod and then ignoring the red flag on the AML. The Perk Pack required lists the Classes and Perks mod as a known (understandable) incompatibility, so I was wondering if that could be worked around.

Perfectly fine if it can't.

Thanks for this. I've wanted to try this mod for a long time now.
Dęąth Viper  [ophavsmand] 30. dec. 2024 kl. 12:08
Thanks, updated descriptions
LeyShade 30. dec. 2024 kl. 10:37
To clarify: this is a preset made to easily enable the use of this particular enemy within non-LWOTC environments. One of the popular 'compatibility' bridge mods.

Users using the AML launcher can set the dependancy on LWOTC of the original mod to 'ignore' in the launcher, preventing the redscreen.

This mod is intended for general users who don't have the means or desire to manually edit INI's throughout multiple mods to ensure compatability. As long as instructions are followed, this bridge 'should' function as intended.

(Clarity to save people asking the same questions a thousand times, and to remind people not to argue in comment sections. That's what Discord is for).
Andrei Cineva 30. dec. 2024 kl. 10:00
Apologies for the misunderstanding. It just didn't seem clear to me from the description that the red flag can be ignored.

All clear.
Dęąth Viper  [ophavsmand] 30. dec. 2024 kl. 9:05
You can ignore the red flag yes. All that is is a small line of code in the original to remind players they need LWOTC for it to function WITHOUT modification of what I listed below. Now either sub or leave bro. I am not going to explain any further than that... Im busy.
Dęąth Viper  [ophavsmand] 30. dec. 2024 kl. 9:04
Dude no you don't. The only reason it would need LWOTC is for the abilities. She uses their perks. We have replaced said perks with the lw2 classes perk pack copies. If you want to get technical, the LWOTC perks have a specific ability template. She calls on said ability templates in the original. With THIS mod, I replace those LWOTC templates with CARBON COPIES from LW2 perk pack.

The encounter lists have alll been updated as well to include regular none lwotc monsters. Ther is ADDITIONAL support with the UECP mod to further enhance this so you will see them more often.

The AI has been modified to use the ability templates from lw2 perk pack vs LWTOC, therefore its behaviors are exactly the same as kiiruka intended.

The stats are not changed, so it was balanced around an LWOTC playthrough, so it will most likely be a difficult alien to beat for normal soldiers.

These are all simple chanages to make it work WITHOUT LWOTC.

Therefore, this will work without LWOTC.
Andrei Cineva 30. dec. 2024 kl. 8:57
You may have made it work without it. But you still have to sub to the LWOTC mod and enable it, so the original Abjurer mod can work.

Unless you just tell AML to ignore the red flag and the game is just going to be cool about it. But I honestly don't see how that would work out, since the original was made for LWOTC in the first place.
Dęąth Viper  [ophavsmand] 30. dec. 2024 kl. 8:40
@Andrei because I made it work without it? That's how mods work my friend.

Just like if I want to make a LWOTC class work without LWOTC I can do that too lol.

@Lanford Me too! That's why I uploaded it if anyone wants to see them in action. Stukov has a mod that does this too but it had other stuff I didn't want, so I made this.
Andrei Cineva 30. dec. 2024 kl. 5:58
I am not quite sure how this mod can be used without LWOTC, when the required Abjurer mod has LWOTC as requirement.
Lanford 30. dec. 2024 kl. 5:15
I have been intrigue by the Abjurer since it had been released but has to pass on it because I didn't use LWotC. Now, I can be annoyed by it now. Good release there.
