If we remember rightly, most of what was done was literally just updating LWOTC terms and perks to their equivlants through INI editing, as Kiruka, - while not directly supporting non-LWOTC translation - has for a long time provided the AML O+E's team with periodic conversion support for the WOTC base.
If you get stuck give us a ping, as to be honest, the old version could use a 'redux' to bring it's old coding up to new practices alike Kiruka's, then just use curators ini's for shorthanding compatibility on that side.
I mainly after Floater and Archon as they are quite unique.
I had Chryssalids on team Lost (thanks Reshi)
The Abjurer of Team Alien used hi mind controll undead ability on a cocoon ... and the spawning Chryssalids now were on team Alien instead of Lost. Hilarious
I understand you want to make your mod more visible, but each tag has its own purpose.
Perfectly fine if it can't.
Users using the AML launcher can set the dependancy on LWOTC of the original mod to 'ignore' in the launcher, preventing the redscreen.
This mod is intended for general users who don't have the means or desire to manually edit INI's throughout multiple mods to ensure compatability. As long as instructions are followed, this bridge 'should' function as intended.
(Clarity to save people asking the same questions a thousand times, and to remind people not to argue in comment sections. That's what Discord is for).
All clear.
The encounter lists have alll been updated as well to include regular none lwotc monsters. Ther is ADDITIONAL support with the UECP mod to further enhance this so you will see them more often.
The AI has been modified to use the ability templates from lw2 perk pack vs LWTOC, therefore its behaviors are exactly the same as kiiruka intended.
The stats are not changed, so it was balanced around an LWOTC playthrough, so it will most likely be a difficult alien to beat for normal soldiers.
These are all simple chanages to make it work WITHOUT LWOTC.
Therefore, this will work without LWOTC.
Unless you just tell AML to ignore the red flag and the game is just going to be cool about it. But I honestly don't see how that would work out, since the original was made for LWOTC in the first place.
Just like if I want to make a LWOTC class work without LWOTC I can do that too lol.
@Lanford Me too! That's why I uploaded it if anyone wants to see them in action. Stukov has a mod that does this too but it had other stuff I didn't want, so I made this.
