I used to have this spell when I completed it using my former computer. Now, I still have Farengar's journal but not the spell. I've cleaned, unsubscribed and resubscribed to all of my mods and this is one of the ones that didn't work anymore. Does anyone know what I can do to get it back?

When I summon the chest, it is invisible but I still can't walk through that spot and it still says E to search Midas Chest

EDIT: listen up ya'll, ya need to get farengars journal, then look under the bed in his study next to the enchntment table

i just found alot of conjuration books

having sincere issues. i had been subscribed to this mod for a fair time, and it disappeared. i tried unsubscribing, then resubscribing, and that didn't work. after resubscribing, do i need to go back to the crypt/ wordwall place where i initially picked up the spell tome??

Sorry I haven't had time to address these issues. I have very little time to devote to modding, unfortunately. Thanks to thomasgdl for the alternative suggestion.

Like a few people below, I had issues with the journal and tome not appearing. The journal was not in Farengar's room, so I scooted along to BFB to check out the end room (it's the one with the word wall in it). However, the book was not there (I did however find two other chests in the room that I had never seen before, and with 1839 hours of gameplay under my belt, I've seen that room a few times - this time around I am playing squishy mage - no armour, no weapons, just magic :). I quit the game to come see if there was help on here, but since there wasn't I logged back in for another look... and lo and behold, there was the book, sitting smugly on the table next to the big guy's coffin. So, if you don't see it first time, try saving, quitting and reloading, and it might be there...

If you want a mod for a chest to sell stuff and get gold, get Become the high king of skyrim its really good and the chest system is easier and makes sence

how long does the chest stay for?

sounds cool..saves time taking the junk to a merchant to sell....I'll look into this mod......peace

Just starting out and enjoying the game roleplaying. I love this magic chest. It's an easy way to turn all that trash into some gold (1/3 price). I rarely use it now that I am learning the game and have enough gold to enjoy the game. It was indispensable inside dungeons.

how much gold do you get for the unwanted item?

@Jacket.. Forgive my ignorance but what exactly do you mean when you say "broke my game"?

I'll say this about this mod: I won't be downloading it personally. It would compromise the game too much by making merchants essentially pointless. However, I will recognize that this is exactly what people want out of this mod. Nice mod, even if it's not for me.

@eccoles Literally everything (the chest, the spell, its effect) is in the featured image. There's not much else to show without spoiling the quest. =)

@rbull Not at present, nor does your speech skill or other mercantile bonuses apply. I'll look into this in a future update, but limitations like enchanted items' values not being available to the script make me think it wouldn't be worth the effort.

Perhaps it's unclear, but when you read the journal, you get a copy of it that goes into your inventory. I did this so you wouldn't have to steal anything to complete the quest.

Although frankly if you just read your quest log and notifications, all of this would be obvious.

I wonder if your speech skill goes up as if you were bartering with a merchant.

This is the most perfect mod I have seen in a while. I did say perfect. I hate when walking up to a random guard and he says" You can sell off that junk at Bits and Pieces". Dah...if it was junk I wouldn't be carrying it now would I....lol. Great mod man great mod. No more so called junk.
