It turns out that the wells give dirty water - a mistake that was fixed in the new update, and well, water pumps also started giving drinking water, thank you very much for such a cool mod, but I think it is not in demand

@ulas this is meant for b42 specifically. Prior to b42 wells provided infinite clean water but was changed to be tainted in favor of now using manual water pumps.

drinking the water via the right click well option to drink is fine to set it to clean

@LambVORTEX A: The Filter is the Earth... thats why in real life you can drink from a well. its just the reality that the earth filters the water as it moves tru the ground. its not stagnant down there its moving

guys who are telling water from wells are drinkable i totally agree and going with thinking of "realism" @LambVORTEX why old lead waterpumps pumping same water are perfectly okay?

@LambVORTEX , assuming the groundwater isn't contaminated with any industrial pollutants and nothing crawled in the well and died, wellwater is perfectly safe to drink, especially if you grew up in the countryside with a hardier immune system.

@LambVORTEX you're not stupid. Just not well enough informed. In my village here in Germany, most of the old farmhouses have their old wells in addition to the normal drinking water connection and the water is in perfect drinking condition. So for me, this mod gives me a bit of realism.

i commissioned this mod and he said quote "you gotta drink from it to untaint it" so it works but it prob still shows the message until you drink out of it once then it will be untainted forever

same for me, water is contaminated

for some reason it doesn't work in my game, it keeps giving me the message that the water is contami8nated. so far i've only found the Echo Creek well

hey so this is completely random but I love drawing digitally and with the power of AI art its even more fun and convenient to create fun little icons or images f.e. for mods. I saw a couple of modders use AI art for their mod icons and figured to try it out.

So now I have a vintage commercial poster of clean well water and painted over the mistakes AI makes. If you want to see how it looks like I sent you a friend request haha

They dug wells in schoolyards in north carolina after the hurricane so that the children would have water to drink. Well water is safe.

Rain water should also be safe when it's fresh, but whatever.

Makes sense if you drink from a MODERN well lol. But yeah with the current state of boiling water in the unstable, this makes sense to balance the game again.
