:swordcross: Hello cossacks, we have an update 2025-08!

This update brings minor improvements to the game interface:
1. Hotkeys related to the mod are stored in a separate file named hotkeys-ren.cfg.
2. Ability to assign a key combination for the action "Move the camera to the latest event".
3. Switch player by clicking their color above the minimap or using the key combinations 'Alt+,', 'Alt+.', 'Shift+Alt+,', 'Shift+Alt+.'.
4. The room now displays its name and the player's peasant spawn position number.
5. The mod version is displayed in the main menu.
6. Load/save a game or replay by double-clicking in the respective menu.

Huge mod, maybe if you want youneed to write to gsc about implementing this mod as a patch? There is a faint hope they would do.

This patch improves custom game interface:
1. Map preview has been added.
2. You can now select specific maps before starting a game.
3. Added the ability to choose spawn locations for peasants.
4. The total number of games played by each player in the room is now displayed.
5. New game options for configuring mortars and naval units have been introduced.
6. The chat window has been improved: now it scrolls to the last message, holds more messages, and can be cleared.
7. Added chat options: Displaying the time of messages in the chat, sound for message notifications.
8. It is now possible to create a room without a name.
9. New option "When creating a multiplayer room, load AI players' settings".
10. The language selection interface in settings has been improved.

Hello Cossacks, we have an update 2025-04.

This patch improves the game interface:
1. Added hotkeys for most buildings.
2. Improved "Hotkeys" window; ability to assign P key.
3. New option "Button press effect".
4. New option "Highlight buttons on hover".
5. New option "Highlight idle mines".
6. New option "Alternative map dragging mode".
7. New option: "Do not enable repeating production on left-click for officers, drummers, and ferries".
8. New options "Highlight ships", "Prioritize ship selection".
9. Hiding the UI during the game with the F6 key.
10. Enabling building transparency with the Shift+Q combination.
11. Moving the camera to the latest event (building completion; attack) with the Space (Ctrl+Space) key.
12. Added the "Unload all units" button in the mine.
13. Fixed selecting walls and gates in the list of buildings by Ctrl+B.
14. Displaying the amount of fish in the boat.
15. Added confirmation when deleting a profile.

It affects players troops. They get stuck in the water when crossing the bridge or refuse to cross it and go around.

Since the campaign missions are extremely hard, the poor pathfinding could be used to exploit the AI and gain an advantage. Or does it also affect the player's troops?

Yes in several missions in the Austrian campaign at least. I can check the exact missions later.

Regarding the pathfinding bug when crossing bridges, does it only happen in campaign missions? I've never seen bridges in skirmish custom games.

Hmm yes something like a grid system would work or maybe just the first letter in the units name I guess.
I personally prefer the old fashioned system of no grid hotkeys, but that's just me.

ZeroEffort89, yes, in the next release, I'll add hotkeys for upgrades in the town hall, mill, mine, and tower; for leaving the mine or transport; and for opening and closing the gates. I could add hotkeys for production buildings, but each building can produce up to eight units, and the question is which exact keys to bind. I might add hotkeys E-R-T-Y-F-G-H-J or you can suggest the better combination. Anyway, if I do it, I'll make them configurable in the file.

Would it be possible to add more hotkeys? =)
For example upgrades and unit production?
Are you also able to fix the pathfinding bug that sometimes occurs when crossing bridges?

AI can build a maximum of 8 art depots, with 8 mortars per depot, but no more than 40 mortars in total per nation. Yes, the AI can capture enemy nations and produce more troops and artillery. However, I'm not sure about nerfing mortars. If the mortar range is decreased to match the tower's range, or if its dispersion is increased even further, what would be the point of that? I'm considering an option that allows players to ban particular units in custom games; maybe that would be a solution.

mortars range is too OP , need to be decreased and also AI to not spawn like hundred of them cuz its like Tanks and also AI have too OP damage with the Mortars . They haveto be nerf. Please add update to the mode (if need as optional option in the options) . Thank you ahead

I got to say, this author is just amazing as a person and as a mod creator. Please support this author in his future works, he deserves it.
