In fact, it is a mod that could have been perfect and realistic but could not use its potential. Even if the zombie touches you once or you touch it once, you can get infected. Also, you can get infected even when wearing a hazmat suit. It's scary.

@MilaYanska I wouldn't be able to tell you how long it is in real-time because it can vary depending on the sandbox options, but it takes twice as long as it takes for you to turn into a zombie if you don't have immunity.

I would love a version of this, buts its randomized upon creating your character and even better it won't show in your trait tabs until you are infected or bitten properly which will then show the trait in your trait tab.

i tried all that but it dint. I had to do the default txt thing. its working good now/ at least i know how to fix it again even if its a fast inconvenience

So i found a fix. You just go to default txt in username-zomboid-mods and delete the default txt then start the game and enable your mods. if you open the defaulot txt before deleteing it it will show the mods enabled so just delete it and start over it will generate a new one and thank you for that info retbenwin, i have like 3 mods that require a previous oputdated one

@ValerieThePalerie and @Rocky Jet : I tested it, and it does happen, even without this mod installed. It seems to be a bug in the base game in B42 when there are two or more mods loaded that also require another mod (like this one). I also noticed it happens with "Inventory Tetris" because it also requires another mod. Either way, it's not a major issue; you can reactivate the mods through the menu without much trouble.

@ValerieThePalerie Also consider that you must be subscribed to "Keep Your Distance Trait", although STEAM warns you that you must do so, I see that not all users have done so because the subscriptions are not the same or greater.

@ValerieThePalerie I'm sorry about your problem, this mod doesn't modify anything related to the order of mods, in general it shouldn't cause conflict with other mods, this mod is tested with several active mods and works without problem, try to clear your cache, remember that we are on build 42 unstable and it may behave strangely.

Just a heads-up, this mod seems to disable a bunch of mods in my load order when I sort them using the "Mod Order" option. Not sure why.
