If you would like to extend the time of the sonobouys and you want to kill others to prevent lag you can click F10 and go to general, make sure you have the sonobouy selected and then in the bottom right of the F10 screen you hit arm and then self destruct and it will pop the sonobouy. Be very sure that you have the bouy selected because it will delete anything it has selected and that includes boats and even your carrier. I use it for dead ships and bouys that are no longer needed to get better FPS

good mod, works fine for me. i also use white sands, you have to put this above white sands to make it work.

Is this mod working for others? It does for me if I place it up the top of the list.

@Vangel damn just what I wanted to hear getting home from a holiday haha. Jeez TBH I am not experienced enough to figure out why. Might have to reinstall my game as my other mod won't update either

@ Sonny no I have not I am a diesel mechanic. However if you have your input would be greatly appreciated :)

Still not working. If it's a problem with another mod I can't find it. Changing config files myself also don't work. Something must overwrite them and your mod.

@Sonny Mind telling us the issue then?

Realistic? You've obviously never operated a actual sonobouy system before.

@Vangal weird I disabled all mods except my own and it works however when i enable White Sands/NTU etc and put it towards the bottom it defaults to the 1 hour/15 mile. Thats running the workshop version too not my local version

I will have a look tonight I was having huge issues trying to get my other mod to update last night but hopefully I can fix it after work

Does not work, Sonarbuoys are still 60 minutes life and 15 ml max comm range. Any advice? I do not have any other "system" mods activated, only missions mods.

Oops that would be the paint.net mod image I shall remove :)

Just curious what the RS.pdn file is in the download. Just wondering since I didn't expect this mod to be 16MB, and that file was 12MB of it.

Thanks Beard! I would say so as it only modifies the sonobuoy .ini files and nothing else. If other mods change the sensor properties it should still be compatible. As always any issues let me know :)

You are a goddamn legend. Is it correct to place this above NTU, White Sands, etc?
L337RAGE  [author] 4 Jan @ 7:13pm
Sorry when I updated it it cut out the rest of the text
L337RAGE  [author] 4 Jan @ 7:12pm
Basically it does not modify the sonobuoy's sensors and how it detects submerged contacts. All it does is modify the range that it can communicate and how long it lasts before running out of battery. Before you had to have a vessel/heli/aircraft within 15 nautical miles of the buoy to get a signal from it. This changes that so you can be anywhere within 100 nautical miles and still receive data from the buoy

The text saying "this does not modify," what is that referring to?

Should be fixed now any issues let me know
