Ah, ok, so this on ti's own is causing the weirdness with "dead" zombies that aren't dead. Was going to test around today thinking it was a conflict with this mod and another.

please update this
mspenguin1974 25 May @ 2:50pm
Up until the most recent update I loved this mod. Now, however, when they are thumping on doors, I can't kill them with melee weapons, it acts like they are already dead, but they turn and bite or scratch me before they actually die. It's weird. I've unsubbed for now, hope you fix it soon, it was a really great mod.
zitopia 20 May @ 12:50pm
says its for an earlier game version

im getting the same crashes too, im running 200 plus mods i did some quick testing by removing the bandits mods played around 10-15 mins no crash, then anabled bandits game crashed back to main menu within 15 sec to 2 mins, i even disabled the options that allowed the bandits to break windows doors and barricades but it still crashed

Confirming what p6kocka posted.
Started getting a crash after anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes. Did not have this crash before the update to Bandits v2. As the game has not updated recently I think there may be a conflict with Bandits v2.
Running nearly 70 mods and after removing one at a time only this mod causes a crash to main menu (not a CTD issue) With all other mods installed, no crash, if I add this it begins to crash.
Hope this helps.
Love this mod, and hope to re-add it soon.
Thank you for your work, it's appreciated.

Doesn' t seem to work anymore. Crashes my game after a while
Flexible Games 4 Apr @ 4:02pm
SVU3?
Rusty #DopeRust 4 Apr @ 5:36am
@Timou, that is a bug from the last patch, not this mod, cheers.
Timou 3 Apr @ 10:10pm
After zombies are killed by the Barricades/Doors/Windows, they don't fall but stand like statues.
Can you fix it please!
Rusty #DopeRust 5 Mar @ 5:44pm
@ZeroTheAbsolute, firstly thank you from the bottom of my heart for your work on the mod, i used @Brightex version last build and wasnt dissapointed, so no i wanted to try yours because it offered more options, until now, awesome work, thanks for keeping it alive until the original got updated.

I wanted to ask as well, do you plan to implement/support more vehicle armor/car mods in your mod? I ask because i have some of the @KI5 car mods, they have armor, but in my tests, zombies didnt got affected by it.

Thanks once again, awaiting for feedback, cheers.

Works very well even with more than 100ish mods installed in build 42. Be aware, even on low damage values it will still eventually clear out big amounts of insane and 4.0 level hordes if using proper cheese. Not a complaint, just a psa to any zomboid hoarder loot goblins like me. (This game is crack.) :steamhappy:

Are zombies hurt by broken glass windows they climb through? could be a cool idea!

@Red Rocket.TTV having potentially the same issue, i dont think zombies in my game are taking damage from any thumpables after 42.2+.
Red Rocket.TTV 26 Jan @ 1:58pm
Does it still work on the latest build?
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 26 Jan @ 6:09am
Thanks man! Welcome back :) .
Brightex 20 Jan @ 12:35pm
Cool work !
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 11 Jan @ 6:57pm
Awesome! This mod has undergone a complete rewrite and now has additional features like the vehicle damage and WIP integration with SVU3 so will continue development but will be renamed to avoid conflict with credit still to Brightex for the original idea.
SDgamer 11 Jan @ 9:14am
The original modder just update Barricades Hurt Zombies. Cheval de frise may be getting update soon to
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 9 Jan @ 6:16pm
If you are still having issues, check the sandbox settings and change the "Damage Source" to "All Objects"
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 9 Jan @ 2:32pm
Fix is posted
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 9 Jan @ 2:13pm
@Dahak thanks I will check things out shortly
Dahak 9 Jan @ 11:42am
This mod was working great for me until the update yesterday. For some reason the zombies aren't hurting themselves now. I don't have any mods that should touch the onzombiethump events and I don't have any custom barricade or zombie mods. Not sure what is going on

Version 2.1 - Vehicle Damage Update

Important Note: While vehicle damage is now fully functional, SVU3 detection is still a Work in Progress. Currently, vehicle damage works but will only register as base METAL damage (1.25×) rather than applying specific SVU armor multipliers.

Core Vehicle Damage System Overhaul

- Implemented new dedicated vehicle damage processing system that runs periodically instead of every tick
- Built sophisticated angle-based part detection system:
- Intelligently identifies best-fitting part (engine, trunk, doors) based on zombie's attack angle
- Customizable detection ranges per part type (e.g., doors: 2.4 tiles, trunk: 2.7 tiles)
- Proper part identification for more realistic damage application
- Added zombie damage cooldown system to prevent excessive damage application
- Separated vehicle logic from standard thumping system for better control

Check the full Changelog for additional details!

@RobTheContractor . I suspected as much, thanks for checking. I will look into it more soon.
RobTheContractor 7 Jan @ 2:12pm
if default settings are supposed to allow for vehicles with armor equipped (all available types) to deal damage, it's not working for me unfortunately
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 7 Jan @ 11:41am
Right now I'm only doing limited checks for specific vehicle parts, but I'll look at BaseVehicle and ways to better handle movement damage, etc. once the basics are working and I can actually test things myself. Do you already have it working?
Deon ☣ 7 Jan @ 9:57am
Did you change isoThumpable to BaseVehicle? Without it, the damaging part of the mod won't work on cars, as it checks IsoThumpable as far as I remember.
SDgamer 7 Jan @ 8:37am
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I love playing with the Horde Night mod so this is a god send
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 7 Jan @ 4:36am
@Deon Updating Cheval De Frise or making an alternative with the new building system is going to take me a bit until I'm familiar with it.
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 7 Jan @ 4:23am
I won't have time to test today. @RobTheContractor are you able to confirm if spike armor damage is working? I added sandbox configs for the damage multipliers, and different damage based on wood, metal, etc.
Deon ☣ 6 Jan @ 11:12pm
Ohh, that's a great idea to make hitting cars hurt zombies too! I will steal it as well :).

And yes, SVU doesnt have a B42 workshop tag and comment section, but it works now with Kitsune lib!
RobTheContractor 6 Jan @ 11:06pm
somehow it is actually, it's working fine on my end. just ensure you have this: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3304582091 (along with the required mods) and this: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3390453390
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 6 Jan @ 7:02pm
Attempted to add support for SVU3 spike armors, but SVU3 doesn't seem to be updated yet so I can't test.
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 6 Jan @ 6:23pm
It's possible, which version? I don't see one updated for B42.
Kurozame 6 Jan @ 5:37pm
Can this be made to apply to SVU's spiked car armor?
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 6 Jan @ 2:50pm
I'll see what I can do as I get time. Hopefully Brightex makes a triumphant return.
Deon ☣ 6 Jan @ 2:41pm
I dont plan to touch Brightex's mods, I made my own version with different settings and checks. But I think people would like that extra mod to be updated if you have time.
ZeroTheAbsolute  [author] 6 Jan @ 2:38pm
I can find some time if you don't plan to. I mostly updated this for myself, but was also planning to add variations for materials (wood, metals) but don't wanna step on your toes either or reinvent the wheel if you've already done it haha!
Deon ☣ 6 Jan @ 2:24pm
Great that we had idea to make the mod on the same day :).
Do you plan to update his other mod that introduces spiked barricades? Without it, each object hurts the same, something i've changed in my mod.
