Also yeah, there are old characters that doesnt have that popularity. Best example is Ichirin, which even on the anual polls, she is almost less popular thant Kisume

@Isaac_MonkeyBoy that is true, earlier material always will be chosed before newer, and for that, ppl doesnt look much to the newer ones atleast they arent interesting (Okina for example)

Wow that was quick. Amazing job as usual, and i also agree about certain characters not being that much popular, especially Sannyo as you mentioned, and i think Shou as well.

as a series like touhou continues, characters introduced later on will often have to get more unothrodox or elaborate to be memorable. compare elecman from mega man 1 to sheepman from mega man 10. elecman is, essentially, a robot dude in spandex who runs a power plant. sheepman is a robot sheep with electrical powers who quit his job because he got bored, got hired for another job, and started getting bored of that job too.

@bearishplane17 that is true, and is kinda sad. Personally i love all the characters from all games, old and newers, but is kinda unfair how much newer characters such as Medicine, Urumi, Sannyo or others doesnt have that popularity
UDoALG chars are very interesting, and i find all of them good

@Nyanzu well, i love working on stuff, so i feel that Zanmu isnt much without Hisami, so i made her pretty fast

thats true, but tbh I think the western touhou community needs to get out more on the other games rather than just sticking with 3/4 games. This probably explains why I haven't seen any hisami memes or any emojis in public touhou discord servers
