This was super easy to install. Why is it so difficult to get something like this for skyrim? CHIM and Mantella are so complicated to get and install and setup and get all the things that make it work and then pay a monthly fee as well!

it works, more or less. the person responds with a delay. if i ask "how is the weather" the npc will respond that efter i say another thing. so there's always some question or conversation in the middle of the answers the npc responds

It's a cool proof-of-concept, and I can definitely see this taking off in certain contexts. I like the extra interactivity with minor NPCs. I feel like if there's room for LLM's in video games, that's probably the best use-case.

The 'Universal Prompt" is not enough customization., I can't undo the god awful shakespearean english you've seemed to cook into this mod. That said, this is an excellent mod, and I appreciate the effort, however, please give us some access to make customizations to the config. The Universal prompt never seems to work for me, and frankly, I wish I understood how it is even called.

@AwesomE There is a limit of 200 free requests per day through openrouter. I decided to add $5 to my openrouter account even if I never use it just so that I could switch to a paid model if I hit it, but I discovered that because I had already hit that limit the same day it was still in effect until the day after.

I was using the mod for a few hours and there was no problem but after that, although nothing happened, it started to give error. İt says that no response has been taking from the openrouter. I have checkhed to Apı key and model, both are fine but ı have also tried to change them and the result was same. If anybody knows how to fix this pls let me know.

love the idea of this mod I just hate having to go through various methods to install it. is there any mod like this I can just download and use.

The mod works with almost any other mod, including overall mods and mods that splits up kingdoms.

I don't update here as frequently because
1. it takes longer to upload here.
2. Steam puts the mods in a separate folder then if you get the mods from nexus so I need to redo file paths and create an entire separate version of the mod.
3. I am a solo dev without much free time. It will get updated here eventually.

You can try using a different model/version, you can start YOUR greeting messages with something new and not the same, you can download the latest version of the mod on nexus that is much better.

Is there any way to change the variation of what the ai says? I'm using GPT-4O and every character ive spoken to has begun every single message with "Ah,*Player Name*"," its kind of immersion breaking because everyone speaks the same

Why don't you update to match the latest version on nexusmods? They seem like important updates. Corrupting save files is a serious problem.

Openai API gives the best results but is paid.

You can also join the discord for more setup help, link also on the mod page.

So in order to use this mod you have to pay for the API so if you are not looking to pay for anything then don't use this mod

It would be great if we had an option to specify custom openai-compatible endpoints (i.e. part of the url before "v1/"), which would enable use of many other api providers 🙏
Currently the only way to use other providers is to employ mitmproxy, which is not ideal... To say the least.

If you use an OpenAI key with this mod, then it is not possible for NSFW as it is heavily moderated/censored. However this mod also supports Openrouter, and local models, both of which have uncensored options you can look into.
